Tuff and Tufa had worked extra hard for the week to keep the news of a kidnapped woman out to the public. They were lucky, no outsider presented at the scene while the hospital was forced to close their mouth for their patient's privacy. June had yet to return their call but that wasn't their concern at the moment.
Nevertheless, they got some info regarding the woman's identity, April Rainbow. Much to their standard, she was having all of it. Attractive figure, not too tall or too short and she had such beautiful eyes and beautiful hair. If it wasn't for her relation with Onyx, they would've hit her up for a contract. They had been looking for a surrogate mother but hadn't been successful so far.
Numerous beautiful ladies had met their physical standard but none of them were dedicated enough to continue the contract. Someone they could've as an extra spice for their life. She could live a luxury life but lived like a prisoner, that was the contract. April Rainbow was June's sister, what a coincidence. Both siblings even if they were unrelated, they had piqued the couple's interest. June could be their third but sadly, they wanted a woman. They discussed having both or taking one but in the end, they were out of question. Onyx made a move before they could do anything.
"Rule number 1, I don't like arguing with Onyx. But he has been a bitch nowadays. Why is he so obsessed with that woman?"
"Tell me about it. His business is going downhill if he keeps on ignoring his duty."
The couple grumbled behind the tower of papers.
Meanwhile, an old friend of the couple arrived at the island. He had several meetings for the investment of his casino, so he had to stay in the island for a few days. Marble had offered his place but not without a rent. 'Cheap son of a bitch', he complained but he couldn't argue further to his old friend. He had distanced himself enough, maybe he should rebuild their friendship again.
It was the weekend when he arrived. Marble wasn't a warm type of person but he didn't mind it. He wanted to start a new term of his life, he found someone he wanted to settle with, he wanted to be independent from his friend and build a healthy friendship with them. Marble said, he wanted to get some fresh air, so he decided to tag along. Marble complained with his glare but he assured him he just wanted to check out the park and wouldn't disturbed him.
They separated as Marble went for his weekly tai chi exercise while Quartz jogged around the park. He could see his friend meeting a woman under the bougainvillea tree, he was ready to tease him when they were back home. The sun had sunk when Quartz decided to walk towards them. As he moved closer, he recognized the woman's face. His face lit and his eyes filled with excitement.
"Good evening, young lady. How are you? It'd been some time since we met."
His familiarity made Marble glared dagger at him. Marble didn't like it any less. But before he said anything, Jenat answered him.
"Good evening, Mr. Quartz. I'm doing fine. How about you?"
"I've a wonderful day. Say... How was your friend? Did she... Lived here?"
Marble didn't expect that. He felt relieved as he saw Quartz didn't have any interest for Janet but her friend instead. 'Relief?....'. Sudden question haunted his mind now. Why did he feel relieved when Quartz wasn't interested in Janet? While Marble had a thought of train, Janet couldn't help but admire the man's determination. If only April was interested in him, what a waste.
"No. She lived somewhere else. But she hasn't turned to work for a week now. She said she was doing alright though."
Quartz suddenly got worried. His expression crumbled a bit. The woman he had been waiting for must have been in trouble.
