My Life was a Game

Chapter 1

April found a motel and treated her wound after. She was contemplating on her past and any misstep she made that led to her brother dating the man she hated the most. The man that didn't deserve any love and happiness. The one who ruined her life.

That night, she sobbed to her sleep but dreamed her brother's happiness and her demise that played scene after scene.

She felt like she was watching a play-through of a BL novel graphic game. There were multiple capture targets with those familiar faces. Five male targets, one protagonist and one antagonist. June, her step-brother was the protagonist while she was viewed as an antagonist. It made her more uncomfortable as she realized the identity of those men but the dream proceeded towards each of her brother's ending with each of those men. There were a total of five route;

Quartz and Marble were free normal routes, Tuff and Tufa were one threesome route bought with in-game money that can be obtained from completing both of the normal routes, finally, Onyx route was exclusively bought with real money.

June's ending with a man named Marble caused her to get a life imprisonment, Quartz ending made her drown in the ocean after being pushed out of the cruise ship by him, and another ending with two men called, Tufa and Tuff lead her to be tortured to death. Finally, Onyx ending was the most unforgettable and unforgivable ending.

Onyx route started after June dated him a month and after April resigned from being a maid and then worked in Onyx company competitor. At this point, April had cut off all of her contacts with June and lived by herself. A year working in the company, she caught the executive, Alabaster Gems Jacker's eyes due to her excellent and honest work. In Onyx's final scene, there was a huge fundraiser party, Onyx went with June while Alabaster invited April to go with him. Onyx and June were shocked.

However, April didn't pay attention to them and it was none of their business after all , just like how June had said to her a year ago. June was worried but Onyx had a completely distorted look. He constantly glaring and glancing towards the couple. Jealousy and rage filled his eyes. Whenever the couple linked arms, talked and laughed together, he couldn't help but to glare hatefully.

When Alabaster was pulled into a group, April excused herself to a restroom. Onyx stalked and pulled her away after she got out of the restroom. He took her to the terrace and stared at her furiously. Nonetheless, April was disgusted and stared at him back. Onyx questioned her about her relationship with Alabaster which angered her further. When April gave him a silent treatment, Onyx exposed all evil Alabaster had done but the only response he got was a sigh. She couldn't understand his purpose. Unsure how to reply but she chose to be oblivious of his identity.

"Did we know each other, Mr Onyx?"

The question shook his heart but he laughed it off.

"If you really don't know me, then why did you look at me like I've killed your mother?"

April felt frustrated at each second she spent with him, so she decided to leave but he grabbed her arm and pulled her closer to him.

"Don't ignore me. Don't you dare to run away from me again, Princess Scarlet! We're not done talking."

April's eyes flicked. 'Did he just use the old nickname he gave her. Since when did he know?...' She thought a lot but never did she say something that made him remember her. For a couple of years she had worked as the maid of his mansion, they never had any exchange and never find each other, it was more like she hid and ran away from him. More so, she had little resemblance with her younger self and changed her name.

"Do you really think I don't know my own servants in my own house? When I saw your name, I thought we could change something between us. I've been keeping my eyes on you before you left. I've waited for you to come at me instead, you quit and ran away. I shouldn't be silent and leave you alone, I should've run after you... But I never thought you would be close to other guy..."

His grips loosen and there was a look of desperation on him. April backed away from him. A deep frown line carved on her forehead.

"Then, why did you... Date my brother... June?"
