Daan's POV

I closed London's door and was walking down the hall when she started screaming. I ran back to her room and over to her.

"London, London wake up!" I said trying to get her to wake up. I put my hand on her shoulder to try and get her to wake up, then she jolted up and leaned back on her hands.

"Are you okay London?" I asked her.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine Daan." She said shakily.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah."

London's POV

I knew Daan didn't believe me when I said I was fine but I wasn't about to tell her anything.

"Do you want to talk about it?" She asked me.

"Nope. There's nothing to talk about." I told her.

"Okay, if you change your mind I'm here." She said getting up to leave.

"Wait," I asked her, I was probably going to regret this but I couldn't be alone right now. "Can you stay?" She smiled and came back over.

"Sure, what are you watching?" She asked sitting on the bed.

"On My Block."

*Trigger Warning (Mentions abuse, cursing)*

I had been having a nightmare of one of the particularly bad nights in Delaware. Both my parents had come home drunk and beat the shit out of me.

I focused back on the show and the thought that I was away from them.  I felt Daan's gaze on me but ignored it, I couldn't go down this road again. Where I tell one person what happened and then everyone knows.

"It's my turn to cook, what should I make?"

"Hmm?" I asked.

"We alternate cooking, your night is not tomorrow but the next day, I'm tonight. What should I make?" Daan explained.

"Oh um, I don't know. What's something you like?"

"Ooh, I could make boerenkool, it's a Dutch meal with kale, potatoes, and pork ." She said. I shrugged,

"Sure." My aunt always made it when I visited, so it was a sort of comfort food.

Daan left to start cooking dinner and I stayed in my bed on my phone. Apparently, Tori had told the other girls I wasn't interested in talking to them. If that were the case Rose and Mal hadn't listened. I was considering whether or not I should block them when Jill poked her head in.

"Dinner's ready!" She said. I got out of bed and followed her to the kitchen.

"Hey, London! How was your day?" Beth asked as Jill and I sat down.

"It was good, how was your's?"

"Good."

Jill commented on something in Dutch resulting in Daan shouting back at her. I turned to Beth to try and continue our normal conversation.

"So, we have training tomorrow right?"
"Yep, it's in the morning from 9-12 I think. I'll check again after we eat."
"Cool, I love waking up early," I said sarcastically.

"Well, none of us do either so this will be interesting." Beth laughed. I smiled and ate some of what was on my plate.

"So how often do you eat Dutch foods?" I asked curiously.

"Whenever one of them decides too, maybe a couple of times a month." She shrugged. "Do you not like it?"
"No no no, I like it. I was just curious." I said quickly.
