When we got back to the flat I locked myself in my room and pulled off my undershirt. I had put it on to cover the bruises and hadn't taken it off.

I took off the bandages and pulled out the towel and peroxide. I cleaned some of them, trying to be as quiet as possible, and left the cuts that hadn't been opened alone. I took a quick shower and changed into comfy sweats and a sweatshirt.

I called Jackie back since she had called while I was showering and collapsed on my bed.

"Hi, Jackie!"

"Hi London," she smiled. "Congrats on your debut! And a goal, that's awesome!"

"Thanks, Jack, it was a good game. I really didn't think I was going to play though I probably should have done better. I'll have to go back and watch it" I said thoughtfully.

" You did great London. you shouldn't think any other way."

"Okay," I chuckled.

"So, we have a bit of a break between games, and I won't rush you to tell the girls, but I could come to London."

"OMG REALLY!" I shouted making her burst out laughing.

"Yes really. Only if you're comfortable with it, and we don't have to tell the girls."

"I'll think about that, you can definitely come, maybe a hotel though."

"Yay! I'll book my room now! I'll let you rest now, you look exhausted." She said.

"Okay, bye love you."

"Love you too bye,"
I was about to take a nap when someone poked my face.

"Someone's here to see you," Jill said poking me.

"Stop," I complained hitting her hand away. I followed her to the main room and my heart stopped at the sight in front of me.

"Hi Anika, let's go on a walk," My mom said with a smile plastered on her face for the girls.

"Hey mom, hey dad, how-"

"Laten we gaan Anika," I winced at the Dutch a quickly followed them out the door. I didn't say anything to them and got in the car with them.

"Let's go, Anika,"

"I cannot believe you, Anika. You must tell us when you leave. And more importantly, you cannot tell anyone about what happens between the three of us." my mom said seething

"I never told anyone! And how did you find my address?"

"Your manager."

We pulled into a shady hotel and they got out. Sighing I did too and my dad grabbed me and pulled me to a room. he shoved me inside and as soon as the door closed it started.

I winced as they delivered blow after blow damaging my already broken body. I fought back tears and saw my line of sight become clouded.

After a couple of minutes, I saw black.

"Shhh, you're going to wake her up!"
"She's not sleeping!"
"She may be!"
"Her parents just left I doubt she's sleeping." I opened my eyes to try and find the source of the noise and saw my old teammates.

"What's going on?" my voice was hoarse from not using it.

"Thank god! Are you okay? What did they do? We need to leave right now!" Tori said.

"Calm down," Rose whispered to her.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"That's the thing, it's tomorrow. We were driving around looking for a good place for dinner and saw your parents leave here so we came up and here we are!" Mal explained.

"Oh shit. I need to borrow a phone to call Beth."

"Here, can you do it in the car? We need to leave, we're taking you back to our hotel by the way,"

"No, I need to go back to the flat," i protested.

"Fine."

They helped me to the car and I leaned against Tori in the back.

"What hurts?"

"My ribs," I mumbled.

"Can I check?"

"I guess."
She lifted my shirt and gasped. I refused to look at my stomach and looked out the window instead.

"This is bad London,"

"Mama T it's fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes." We pulled into my building and I got out.

"Thanks, guys, I'll see you later."
"BE SAFE!" Rose called.

"BYE!" Mal said.

"Take care of yourself,"
"Course I will Mama T, bye girls." I waved and walked into the building. I took the elevator up to the flat and hesitantly opened the door. I saw a majority of the team in the sitting room and went straight to my room locking the door.

I looked in the mirror and pulled out concealer. I covered my eye and the marks on my face and throat. Someone was knocking on the door and I ignored them while I changed out of my bloody clothes. I fixed my hair and checked all the marks were covered.
Satisfied with it I opened the door to a fuming Danielle.

"Where were you!" She screamed. I flinched at the yelling and started having flashbacks to the night before and those in Delaware. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

"I just forgot my phone, I was with my parents," I told her.

"You just left with people we had never met, alone, without your phone for a full day!"

"I know, sorry,"

"Daan, dial back a bit," Jordan said coming over.

"We thought you got kidnapped!"

"Danielle I'm fine! It doesn't matter anyway, they wouldn't hurt me." I said full out lying.

"It does matter London! What happened before you left? Who's Anika? Why were they sp-"

"Danielle, please! It doesn't matter!

"Yes, it does! We thought you were hurt! Or dead, or something! Who were they?" She asked. I brushed past her and Jordan and walked out the door. I got into my car and drove. I didn't know where I was going, just away from there.
