Third Person POV
"Huh?" Sunwoo asks again, watching as the girl spaced out for a moment.
He would never typically take a comment from Seoho seriously, but as he saw the colour drain from the girls face and her mouth slowly parting, he knew there was something more than he was being told.
"Sunwoo," Heiji says quietly, glancing up at him with nervous eyes. "Can we talk elsewhere?"
Without hesitation, the boy starts walking, almost charging, towards the car park. Heiji almost felt her heart clench in her chest as he still pushed everything else aside to open the passenger door for her, as he always did.
She felt nervous being in such a confined space with the boy especially after the truth was about to spill. She knew the worst that could happen would be him telling her to leave, or that he would leave her again - and that made things all the more worse.
"I'm sorry for snapping," the boy sighs. "I hate that prick. But you need to tell me what he's talking about so I have a reason to beat him up."
"You won't need to," Heiji almost panics at the boys calm yet alarming words. "I'll tell you."
Silence falls over the two as Heiji stares out of the window, her last words lingered and it was killing Sunwoo - he needed to know. "When will you tell me?"
"Sorry," the girl snaps out of her trance. She was trying to think of the right words, but she wasn't sure if there was a way to explain this without hurting the boys feelings. "Would you like told bluntly or would you like a backstory?"
"Bluntly," Sunwoo says bluntly too. "Be straight with me, please?"
The girl nods slowly, watching as the boys eyes grew concerned. He felt as though there was a glass layer around his heart which was slowly chipping away with every passing second. He wondered the worst things. Did Heiji go back to him after he left? How could she? He wondered if that's who she was dating, even worse so, was it the guy in her bedro-
"I slept with Hyunjae."
That answered his question, but it wasn't quite what he was prepared to hear. He wasn't sure if anything she could have told him would have prepared him for those words.
"What?" His eyes grew sad, the clenching feeling in Heiji's heart was overwhelming now.
The girl didn't know what to do or what to say, nothing would make this situation any more bearable, she thought. His eyes were still fixated on her face, as though he was trying to process the information still, or as though he was trying to process if this situation was actually real.
"Now would be a good time for the backstory," the boy says barely above a whisper. "Please."
"Okay," the girl breathes out, her hands and lips were still trembling. "Uh, it was that night that you seen me."
