Third Person POV
Weak, tired and confused.
That was how both Sunwoo and Heiji felt.
The man stared at the papers that were sent to his small flat, a million thoughts raced through his mind. Is this what she wanted?
The woman stared at the man who lay beside her in the bed where Sunwoo once lay, a million thoughts raced through her mind. Is this what she wanted?
Sunwoo sighed, although the release of the breath brought him more pain. He should have known better than to express his emotions in such a way.
He pulled at the roots of his hair gently, as that was the only force his body could produce.
The man felt weak in every possible sense. For years now he had suffered more than he could ever had imagined. He was weak for leaving the love of his life, once again. He was weak for not being able to fight this any better. He was weak without her by his side, and now it was too late.
She wanted a divorce. He couldn't be sure that she didn't love him anymore, but the papers which sat before him spoke enough to him.
He had broken her, he just knew it. And he only had himself to blame for that.
The woman too, felt weak in every possible sense. For years now she had suffered at the hands of the man she loved. She was weak without his love. She was weak for giving into the temptation and affection from someone who wasn't him. She was weak, because since he left, it seemed as though he took every last ounce of energy she once had with him.
She didn't want a divorce. She couldn't be sure that he still loved her, but signing those papers was a step forward in her own healing process.
He had broken her, they both knew it. But as she looked at the man beside her, she felt as though she was partly to blame for everything.
"Hey," he grumbles, turning to face her as she sat upright. "Are you okay?"
"I'm good," she smiles, laying back down to face the man. "I was just thinking."
"You do a lot of that," he pokes her nose, pulling her into his chest. The warmth and love that radiated from him was what brought Heiji here in the first place. "I'd love to see inside of your mind."
"You wouldn't," she shakes her head before nuzzling it in to him. "Are you hungry?"
Before she has the chance to say anymore, Hyunjae gently removes the girl from his body as he leaps up out of bed. "Stay here."
"It's my turn to make breakfast," she sighs as the man shakes his head. "But I won't refuse food."
"Good girl," he chuckles, running down the stairs, leaving the woman alone with her dangerous thoughts.
If she didn't think so hard and critically about things, being with Hyunjae was fine. It was great. She had a particular type of fondness, maybe even love, for the man.
They got on well, they had history, they were sexually attracted to one another. None of it felt wrong, until she would occasionally feel the dull pressure which still existed around her ring finger, despite removing it over a year ago.
Why couldn't she have a life without him? Why couldn't she finally be happy with someone other than him?
If she pushed those troubled thoughts aside, she would be able to. It was a working progress.
