Third Person POV

"I know last time was a disaster," Haknyeon pleads. "But that was almost a month ago, Heiji. Please come tonight, for Lia's sake."

Heiji paces back and forth in her room, holding the phone to her ear. She knew she had to go, she just had serious doubts about how she would feel and how people would react to her considering she hadn't seen anyone in about a month know.

She had kept in contact with them through the group chat or singularly texting each of them, but she was still nervous.

"I know I'm you're bestest friend and all," Haknyeon says jokingly. "But that doesn't mean you can bomb Lia out."

"Shut up," Heiji laughs, holding a hand to her head. "I'll be there, Hak."

"I knew you would," the boy says. "I can come over to your house and we can head together, sound good?"

"What time?" The girl says barely above a whisper, eyeing her closet.

"Is half six okay?"

"Sure," Heiji nods, taking a look at her rough appearance in the mirror. "How many people are going to be there?"

"She's invited as many as she could," the boy laughs. "There's friends of friends coming, some people she knows from college too."

"That's fine," she breathes out. "I better start getting ready."

"I'll see you later." Haknyeon says before the two say their goodbyes and hang up.

It was already almost four o'clock, and Heiji had done absolutely nothing with her day. She hadn't taken a shower in around three days.

Sniffing her oversized T-shirt, she sighs before throwing it off and heading to the bathroom for a shower.

Just over two hours later and the girl was ready. She felt human again. She looked at herself in the mirror and seen someone she hadn't been for over a month now, and she liked it.

She was starting to find it easier to take her mind off things. She just studied hard with all the free time she had. She wouldn't let what Sunwoo done defer her from doing well in class, she needed to stay strong and focus on herself rather than him.

It was hard, however. Haknyeon's words the last time they saw each other really stuck in her mind. She had never told herself she loved the boy, but the pain in her chest and the overwhelming numbness she felt when she realised she would never see him again - was unlike anything she had experienced.

Haknyeon over the last few weeks had tried to convince her to move on, get herself back out there. But truthfully, she didn't want to and she wasn't sure if she was ready.

"Honey," her mother shouts from downstairs. "Haknyeon is here."

"Coming!" She shouts back, checking everything is in her bag that she needs for tonight. A touch up for makeup, a hairbrush, ID to buy alcohol and her mobile phone charger. Seems about right.
