I didn't sleep at all, my unease keeping me up to ungodly hours. Today was the day the other Duke's children are coming, along with my friends. This was also the day the bad thing would happen. I ran a hand through my hair as I paced my room until the time I had to wake Bokuto-san up.
I knew all the cameras were working and up, seeing as I checked the feed every 5 minutes, and I had 2 knives and a gun strapped to my person. I've been through hell, yet my emotions towards this day seem much worse.
The minutes ticked closer and closer, and I decided to wake Bokuto up a little early. I slowly made my way to Bokuto-san's room, knocking on the door before opening it all the way like I normally do. I shook Bokuto awake and got him dressed and ready for the day. The whole time he seemed to vibrate with energy, not unlike me, but his energy was from excitement while mine was anxiety induced.
"Akaashi! You seem off," Bokuto said blatantly.
"My apologies, Bokuto-san, I'm feeling a little different today, but don't worry, I'll still be able to help you with your volleyball match," I explained.
"Are you ok?" he asked, turning to look at me while I was still trying to fix his hair.
"Yes, Bokuto-san, I'm perfectly fine, please don't move," I sighed.
"When will the others arrive?" He asked thoughtfully.
"Any time now, Bokuto," I answered. He insisted on already wearing his athletic clothes, insisting I go change too before the others show up.
I quickly put on my Volleyball outfit, sticking the gun in my jacket so I wasn't jumping around with it, but still had it close by without anyone knowing. I kept the knives strapped to my leg though.
I heard the doorbell ring and rushed to meet Bokuto at the front door. Waiting on the front steps was the grey-haired boy I saw behind Daichi when we called, the one called Sugawara. Bokuto and him were already talking and I walked up to try to introduce myself.
"AKAASHI!!" Someone yelled before I could even begin my sentence, tackling me into a hug that almost took us to the ground. Daichi squeezed me into a tight embrace, refusing to let go. I hugged him back, but a lot weaker.
"I missed you!" Daichi yelled in my ear.
"I missed you too, Daichi," I responded. When he finally pulled away I noticed both Sugawara-san and Bokuto-san watching us with bright smiles on their faces, not unlike proud parents.
"You were the sick one, right? Are you feeling better?" Suga asked me, finding his kind smile comforting.
"Yes sir, I'm Akaashi," I bowed, but Suga stopped me short.
"There's no need for that," He laughed and I nodded. "Hey Bokuto, what do you want to bet that the next one here is Oikawa?" Suga asked, turning to the other grey-haired male.
"Oh, you're on! Kuroo better get here fast!" Bokuto yelled. I glanced at Daichi who seemed shocked at the sudden turn of events.
"This is going to be fun," I whispered to him who laughed in agreement.
We walked to the backyard, helping to set up the volleyball net and get the equipment out.
"So, Daichi, what position do you play?" Bokuto asked nervously.
"I've found I'm more of a receiver," Daichi smiled.
"I thought he was going to be a receiver, with his chill and rational personality, but he's more of a setter! Which works for me, I'm a spiker!" Bokuto explained, thrusting his thumb in my direction. I nudged Daichi in the side, getting his attention.
