TWs: Nightmares, fear of being abandoned, Patton, hinting towards last starvation, break down, CHILD @BUSE

Third Person POV

Irra sat up and screamed. "MOMMY! DADDY!" He yelled out before crying.

He was in his and Virgil's room.

They had to combine their rooms to make Irra feel safer. The constant thought of someone locking him away again made him end up waking up screaming or go sleep in another sides bed, their floor or the couch.

Virgil was in Logan's room. They needed a break day and ended up watching documentaries in the logical sides room.

Janus and Patton ran in and turned on the lights. The shadows of anxiety that rose behind Irra immediately disappeared.

Irra got up and ran over. "Mommy, I had another nightmare!" He cried. Janus picked up the 5 year old. "Come now hon. Back to bed." Janus said softly as Patton rubbed his back.

It been 3 years of hard work but Patton gained all the sides trust back. His scars of trauma never faded though, and likely never would.

Irra shook his head. "The-the blue monster is gonna get me Ma! Don't let me sleep! Please!" He cried. While Patton gained his trust back, Patton's action caused Irra to still wake up screaming.

Patton kept rubbing his back. "Why don't you sleep with mommy tonight dear?" Patton said softly. Irra shook his head. "Mommy needs sleep too. I've already caused enough trouble."

Janus kissed Irra's head. "Irra it's not a problem. You can sleep in my bed tonight." He said softly. Irra yawned and nodded. "Okay-okay mom....." he mumbled, already falling asleep.

Patton chuckled. "I'll handle waking up the twins tomorrow. You take care of him." He said before kissing Irra's head and retreating back to his own room.

Janus carried Irra back to his room. Janus laid Irra down in the deceitful sides bed, and laid down next to him.

Irra climbed onto Janus' chest and laid there. "Night mum." He mumbled. "Night pumpkin." Janus said. Both falling asleep.

——the next morning——

Patton kept his word and went right to the twins room to wake them up.

Roman and Remus had mostly made up and started sharing a room.

Remus was half hanging off his bed, his arm and leg just over the side. While Roman was laying on his side in his bed, it honestly looked like he hadn't moved all night.

Patton opened the door slowly knowing full well both twins are asleep.

He went over to Roman and nudged him. "Morning Roman. It's time to wake up." He said softly. Roman groaned and rubbed his eyes. "Morning Pat."

Patton kissed his head and went over to Remus. Patton nudged him. "Remus. Time to wake up." Remus just rolled over and turned away from Patton.

Patton huffed. He'd never woken up Remus before, he was always waking up Logan and Virgil, with the occasional instance of having to wake up Irra.

Patton shook his arm. "Remus. Up please." He said sweetly. Remus covered his head with his blankets. The Duke has been up all night unable to sleep.

Patton huffed. "No breakfast then!" He said sternly. Bad move. Really bad move to tell Remus that.

"Okay, not the first time you wouldn't let me eat." Remus said bitterly. Roman sat up in bed and just kinda glared at Patton, telling him to fix it.
