Chapter 14

YOUR P.O.V

I put on the traditional Sindrian robe that was provided ever since I came here. Wanting to look like I actually put in effort, I brushed my hair neatly and put on some accessories. The accessories were simple and casual, not the type that immediately grabs the attention of others. I tied the ribbon from the robe around my waist tightly and put a small dagger in it so that I was still armed and able to protect myself.

I had many other weapons hidden with my main weapon tied around my thigh. The small dagger will be used to cut the string that holds together my weapon and my thigh. I still don't know why I stay alert whenever, possibly that I don't want anything to happen that is similar to the event when Cecil ambushed me. Sham Lash was targeting me and I need to protect myself.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

I turned my head towards the direction of the sound and stood up from the chair I was sitting on after putting on my shoes. I held the handle and opened the door, revealing Ja'far in his normal clothes, except that he wasn't wearing his normal kefiyyeh.

JA'FAR'S P.O.V

The door opened and I was met with a beau- Get yourself together Ja'far. My face went warm when I saw her. God what is this feeling. I could see that she put in a bit of effort with her styled hair and the accessories. The robe fits her perfectly. If it weren't for how dark the surrounding is, she would've seen me blushing.

"Hey (Y/n). I was gonna call you. You look great by the way."

"Thank you~ Where's your kefiyyeh Ja'far? This is the first time I've seen you without it."

"Ah I left it in my room. You should go down now, Lily's waiting for you."

"Alright~ I'll see you later Ja'far!"

A small smile plastered my face and I nodded at her. I still don't know what these feelings are but it was definitely a pleasant feeling. sometimes, I find myself smiling when I think about her. Shaking my head, I brisk walked to my room to get my kefiyyeh and hurried down where Sinbad and the others were gathered.

YOUR P.O.V

I rushed down the stairs, a light tint of pink shaded my cheeks. I didn't expect Ja'far to come to get me. Shaking my head, I continued walking towards the meeting place. WHen Lily saw me, she started nagging me.

"(Y/n) why were you late?!"

"Sorry I was just getting ready-"

"sigh Fine fine. Come sit here."

I put my ass on the damned chair- Author wtf?! oops

I sat on the cushioned chair that was next to Lily and relaxed myself. Yamraiha saw me and passed me a drink in which I thanked her for.

"(Y/n), I put some pain relief potion in this drink so I hope it'll help you."

"Aww thank you Yamraiha."

I took some sips from the cup and it warmed my whole body from the cold air outside. I sighed in relief and slouched on the chair. Lily slapped my thigh and glared at me. Being the awkward confused introvert I am, I just stared at her in confusion. She gestured to her posture and I immediately backed up and straightened my back awkwardly laughing. In the corner of my eye, I saw Ja'far coming out and walking towards us. I grinned at him and gave him a small wave. He returned the wave and smiled gently at me. I blushed slightly and Lily nudged my shoulder smirking evilly and clinged onto me.

"Ohohoho? You seem like you staring at your crush~?"

"I- Um well...yes?"

"Squealing Oh my god so cuteeeee."

"Hush Lily. He doesn't know."

"When will you confess~ ?"

"When I'm ready. Now get off me!"

She sighed and let go off me. I glared at her and looked away while she giggled endlessly. Great now I'm busted. Lily knows about my crush and will probably not shut up about it. I chose to brush it off and got up to take some snacks that were provided. I took a few (f/s), some sweets and a mall bowl of three to five chocolate chip cookies. Popping a few sweets in my mouth, I looked around to see a show on the stage across where we were gathered

"I'll turn you into the rust of my sword of Amon!"

"Prepare for defeat!"

"Feel the force of my magic firsthand!"

A play was performed about the trio, Aladdin, Alibaba and Morgiana. A guy with a weird shaped nose acted as Alibaba, A girl with pink hair which I think is either dyed or fake acted as Morgiana and a buff dude acted as Aladdin. I tried to stop myself from laughing but on the other hand, the real Alibaba along with Sharrkan laughed like two complete idiots. Yamraiha just sweatdropped and Aladdin looked like a confused bean. Morgiana's eyebrows were furroed so I assume that she's a little upset about it.

Aladdin soon stood up and followed the movements  of his actor. This got to me and I started laughing as well, holding back causing tears to form. Ja'far stood behind all of that chaos and just stared at us. I glanced at him to see that he was staring at me. I beamed at him and he gave me a small grin. I could've swore I saw a small blush tinted on his face but that could just be my imagination so I brushed it off.

JA'FAR'S P.O.V

Her smile took me off guard. I never actually realised that she was pretty until a few days ago. I couldn't help but blush but I had to get myself out of it before she notices that I am blushing. I walked up to her and striked a conversation despite being fidgety.

"Hey (Y/n)."

"Hey Ja'far."

"How have you been?"

"Well, surviving. How about you?"

"There's a lot of paperwork that Sin didn't do so I have been busy lately."

"After hearing that I wanna put in more effort on studying so that I can help you. I feel really bad for you since Sinbad doesn't do paperwork."

"Thank you for that but it's no need really. If you want to, it's my pleasure. I'm just sick of Sinbad's shit."

"Woah there. First time I heard you sort of curse ever since I came here. You're annoyed aren't you?"

"Slightly. I should get going now. Sin will probably try to find me."

"Alright~ I'll see you later."

"That reminds me, do tell me that thing you've been itching to tell alright?"

She jumped slightly but nodded at me. I walked off, still wondering what is it that she's hiding from me. Knowing that she probably won't tell me until she wants to, I settle on waiting instead of forcing it out of her. I sighed and  stood beside Sinbad while we watch the 'festival' go on.
