I quickly started to prepare for breakfast with Enzo. I didn't have to do much; my dumb-ass forgot to pack clothes for today.

I wore the same thing I wore to bed last night. It's not like they were dirty - it wasn't like I even slept in them.

As I made myself look presentable, I wondered if Lorenzo felt any regret towards last night.

I, for one, felt good about it.

My lower half did not. It was a challenge to walk normally, although I didn't mind - it was worth it.

I stumbled out of the bathroom after I had gotten ready, and saw Lorenzo choking back a laugh as he looked at me.

"I'm glad to see you find this funny," I muttered.

"Sorry." He cleared his throat and tried to be serious as he stood up and grabbed our things, then rested his hand on the small of my back to help me walk better, which was rather humiliating, if you ask me.

We made our way down the stairs and to the lobby, where we saw a different worker by the front desk. He waved to us and wished us a good day as we exited the room.

The cool autumn air hit our faces as we stepped out into the open. People outside were wearing coats and hats; I was wearing the top I was wearing to bed last night. Lorenzo gave me his sweatshirt again.

Suddenly, a brown owl with white specks flew up to us. I immediately recognized it to be Onyx's. I held out my arm and it landed onto the surface.

It had a small piece of folded parchment paper in a tight grip in its mouth. I tugged on the paper and it loosened its pressure, allowing me to slip the paper out of its mouth.

I unfolded the paper and held it in front of me.

Lucille-

Can you get me some vials while you're out? I'm asking for a friend, of course.

Miss you,

-Onny

I rolled my eyes and chuckled to myself.

"What?" Lorenzo nudged, trying to get a glimpse of the paper. I held it out to him as he read it.

"Oh, god. Those two, I swear," He groaned.

I giggled before petting Lila, Onyx's owl, on the head and shooing her back home.

"I suppose we have to make a little pit stop," I presumed.

Lorenzo nodded and huffed as he grabbed my hand tightly and we trotted towards the store.

Inside the shop, I grabbed a handful of vials off the shelf and waited for Enzo by the register.
