Lorenzo and I took a short nap, our bodies entangled and warm.

I woke up before him.

I slowly turned, making sure not to wake him in the process.

I'd rarely seen Lorenzo sleeping before, even though I'd known him six years. He woke up at sunrise and usually went to sleep around the same time as me, which I never understood.

I examined him. I'd never seen someone sleeping look so beautiful before.

His long, wavy brown hair was gently parted through the middle and was lying lightly on his forehead, his clear skin glowing due to the impact of the sun. His perfect nose, defined lips, brown eyes. The slow and peaceful rise and fall of his chest. I could never get sick of looking at him.

His presence brought so much peace that drifted throughout the air I breathed in. I'd never felt so safe with any boy before.

I turned onto my back and gazed at the ceiling for a few minutes. I didn't want to him to wake up and catch me staring at him.

I thought a bit about what Draco had said to me earlier. I tried not to let it consume me, to eat at my thoughts and completely take over, but I couldn't help it.

The truth could be ignored, but it couldn't change the fact that it was the truth: I was a mudblood - Lorenzo was a pureblood.

It almost made me feel guilty when I thought about our relationship. Maybe not guilty - insecure. I felt insecure.

But I knew Lorenzo wasn't like that. Lorenzo hadn't said one negative word about the blood that ran throughout my body in our six years of knowing one another.

So I did believe him when he said it didn't matter to him.

I wouldn't let Draco get to me. He was just trying to fuck things up.

I took a deep breath in and slowly exhaled, re-adjusting my position again.

Just then, Lorenzo started to stir in his sleep. I turned around to look at him - his eyebrows were furrowed and I saw a few beads of sweat forming on his forehead.

He started to whimper softly, which worried me. I leaned upwards and ran my hand along his arm gently.

His eyes bolted open as he gasped and lifted his head off his pillow.

He looked around the room, then met eyes with me and sighed a breath of relief.

I studied him carefully. "Are you alright?"

He sighed and fell onto his back, pressing his hand against his forehead. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just had a weird dream."

I rested my head back onto my pillow. "What was it about?"

"I don't remember," He mumbled tiredly.

A hint of concern was splattered on his face, but I didn't say anything. I scooted closer to him and he turned his head towards me, grinning.
