"So you and jughead have been together for almost a year" veronica says as I pulled my shirt on and closed my gym locker and walked to the sink to fix my hair. "So what about us?" "Nothing it's just, you met this dude by a dumpster, how do you even know if he has a home? How do you even trust him? You've never been to his house you two only talk at school" Veronica says as I turn to her "I don't date for money, I date for love Veronica, besides jughead is a sweet caring guy I don't care if he has money or a house, he is the man I love and I won't judge him with his living style" I simply replied "we'll fine think about this, how well do you actually know him?" Veronica says and walks out. That's when it hit me...I barely know him...I don't know his family I don't know what he even does for a living for all I know he could be a drug dealer! No no betty..don't let Veronica's ignorantness get in your head.
(After school, no ones POV)
"Hey baby" jughead says as betty let's him inside her house. "Why weren't you at school today?" Betty asked dodging jugheads kiss, "oh uh family stuff" jughead says with a chuckle "do I get know you about this 'family stuff' " betty says "it's kinda personal.." jughead says as betty nods her head and walks away. "Hey I'm sorry..it's just I'm in a weird position right now" jughead says as betty turns around "baby, if we're are going to spend the rest of our lives together-" "-whoa whoa betty, we're only 17" jughead says as she makes a face and backs away from him "you don't want to spend the rest of your life with me?" Betty ask as jughead walks up to her and grabs her hand "no it's not that, it's just..we're only 17 how would we know if we're gonna end up together?" Jughead says as betty fake smiles and walks away from him and into the kitchen.
"Did I miss something? Or did I do something wrong?" Jughead asked with a shy chuckle and walks into the kitchen with her and sat down on a stool. "No" betty says as jughead looks away and bites the inside of his cheek and looks back at betty, "then why do I feel like your mad at me?" Jughead ask "I'm not mad at you- why do you think we belong together? We barely know each other" betty shouts out of frustration "first off I know your frustrated but don't take it out on me, fix your tone. Second off, why is this a question? Why are you asking me this now?" Jughead asked a little hurt, "it's just..it's almost our one year and I don't even know who you are! You've never introduced me to your parents! When ever I ask about what you do and what you like to do and just about you, you always change the subject! It's like I'm dating a stranger!" Betty shouts as jughead sits there and takes it all in and looks down, "you don't think we belong together is what I'm getting out of this" jughead says and gets up. "That's not what I'm saying! It's- ugh! Give me a good fucking reason that we belong together!" Betty shouts once more as jughead looks at her and looks away as betty scoffs "you can't even think of one reason..." she says and walks up to him and shoved him out the door, "until you do..don't come near me" betty says and shuts the door.
Jughead let's out a sigh before looking away and walks to his car. He gets in and drives to his house. He gets out and slams the door, he opens the door to his house, "welcome home jughead" the robot says. Jughead takes off his shoes and runs up the stairs to his room. Jughead takes out his note book. "Reasons for us" jughead writes down.
He stayed up all night.
Betty walks back and forth in her room. "Fuck fuck fuck! Jughead pick up!" Betty groans. She had let Veronica get the best of her..Betty sat down on her bed and began to cry. It wasn't him who needed to give her a reason it was her. And that reason was. That they care..they were made...and they were meant to be with each other. She couldn't sleep that night knowing she could have been the cause of their break up. She tried and tried to call him to ask him to come over so that she could apologize but each time the call led to voice mail.
