It was 4:32 pm sharp on that day as Yeonjun remembered it. It was a Wednesday and it was thundering heavily that afternoon. Yeonjun sat on the bench near the school's entrance as he stared blankly at the gates.
"Yeonjun, where's your driver?" Ms. Jung, Yeonjun's teacher, asked noticing the boy waiting. She found it strange since the school was dismissed at 3 pm and how no students would be left behind at this hour.
"My driver's sick so my mom's coming to pick me up," Yeonjun replied.
"Oh, would you like me to wait with you? It isn't safe for you to be waiting here alone,"
"If you don't mind," Yeonjun replied with a smile.
Just then a female pulled out of a black car, carrying an umbrella as she proceeded to walk towards Yeonjun. Yeonjun's mother was a beautiful woman with luscious ebony-black hair, cherry lips, and eyes that twinkled like a million stars.
"I'm so sorry for being late Yeonjun, I just came back from a meeting," She said, bending down to Yeonjun's level.
"It's alright," Yeonjun said, taking her hand.
"Is this your teacher?" She asked.
"Yep, she is Ms Jung" replied Yeonjun.
"Thank you for watching over him," Yeonjun's mother smiled.
"Oh no worries, bye Yeonjun!" Ms. Jung waved, picking up her bag and heading out towards the gates. Little did she know that her meeting with Yeonjun's mother would be her first and last one.
