53 | The Remaining Sasaeng

Everything was going to plan. Within 10 minutes, the two guards were dozing away on the seats outside of Yeonjun's room. Hyun Joo made sure the coast was clear before walking towards Room 29, a knife safely concealed inside the pocket of her coat.

Opening the door carefully, she stepped inside the room, her victim perfectly fast asleep.

Yeonjun couldn't properly fall asleep yet, his body was physically tired but his mind was wide awake. It was a stormy night and even with Soobin next to him ( who was sleeping soundly ), he still couldn't seem to get his mind off the fact that there's a huge thunderstorm outside.

He heard the sound of the door open and opened his eyes wide enough to see the silhouette of a woman entering. It's probably Secretary Kim, she must've left something in here earlier.

Half convinced it was none other than his Secretary, he closed his eyes again. But the uneasy feeling in his stomach didn't seem to have gone away completely as he heard the footsteps approaching him.

Yeonjun opened his eyes. A woman who was certainly NOT Secretary Kim was holding a knife over Soobin's head.

"SOOBIN!" Yeonjun screamed. The masked person must've not seen this coming as she quickly dropped the dagger and dashed out of the room. Soobin sat up, awaken by Yeonjun's sudden scream.

"Wha-"

"T-THERE WAS A PERSON HERE A MINUTE AGO WHO JUST RAN OUT OF THE ROOM- SHE WAS HOLDING A KNIFE OVER YOUR HEAD AN-" Yeonjun said very quickly, Soobin quickly caught onto what just happened and ran out of the room.

"NO SOOBIN!" Yeonjun shouted, getting out of his bed as he walked as fast as he could towards the door. But by the time he reached the entrance, Soobin was already gone.

[ A/N: geez what's with me writing SUPER short chapters back then 😭 I would honestly make this chapter longer but like I've already finished writing all the other chapters and changing this one would kinda mess everything up so 🗿
