16 | An Opportunity

"How about... Soobin replaces Ji-na as the female lead?" Bang Si Hyuk suggested.

The studio was so quiet, you could practically hear a pin drop.

"WHAT?!" Yeonjun shouted appalled by the bizarre suggestion. Soobin, too, stood there, as still as a statue as he held their breath, not daring to make a single sound.

Everyone in the studio spun towards Bang Si Hyuk.

"I mean- hear me out. Soobin is currently studying to get a degree in acting, and- yes, he may not have prior professional experience in acting. But at this point, where will we even find another female lead?" Bang Si Hyuk reasoned.

Soobin had his mouth hanging agape at the man in shock, it wasn't helping how he could feel Yeonjun staring daggers at him.

"HE'S A UNIVERSITY STUDENT FOR GOD'S SAKE. HE'S A STUDENT, HE DOESN'T HAVE THE TIME FOR COMING ONTO SETS FOR SHOOTING." Yeonjun objected.

"Well, you starred in a drama while you were still studying in uni, didn't you, Yeonjun?" Bang Si Hyuk said, side-eyeing the male. Yeonjun turned away.

"This drama is based on a high school love story, and Soobin's a student, so wouldn't it make sense if Soobin took on the role?" Bang Si Hyuk explained, turning to Producer Lee.

"Hmmmmm, that does make sense... Especially with news of Yeonjun's sexual orientation from the talk show, it would bring great publicity to the show," Producer Lee considered, tapping his chin.

"You can't be serious right now- I REFUSE to be starred in the drama with hi-" Yeonjun protested.

"Mr. Choi. I'm the producer of this show. Not you." Producer Lee said, shooting Yeonjun a glare so sharp it made him keep his mouth shut.

"I think that is a wonderful suggestion! Soobin, Bang PD-nim, perhaps we can meet up tomorrow to discuss the details." Producer Lee said, smiling at Soobin and Bang Si Hyuk.

"Great! What do you say Soobin?" Bang Si Hyuk said, looking at Soobin as everyone else in the studio did, anticipating for the latter' answer.

"Uh.. sure,"
