After a while, Soobin made it back to Yeonjun's place without another person ambushing him on the way. He entered the house to find Yeonjun on the living room couch, typing away on his laptop.

"Welcome back," Said Yeonjun, his eyes not leaving the screen.

"You're back early," Soobin said.

"They allowed me to get off the shoot early since I just recovered from a fever," Yeonjun explained, finally looking up from his laptop.

"What is that on your chin-" Yeonjun asked. Soobin immediately covered his chin with his right hand, Yeonjun got up and grabbed Soobin's hand which was covering the wound on his chin. Without saying a word, Yeonjun went into the kitchen and came back out with a first aid kit in his hands.

"Sit down," Yeonjun instructed. Soobin obeyed, taking a seat on the couch.

Yeonjun opened the first aid kit, took out a ball of cotton wool, and poured a few drops of ointment onto it. He carefully dabbed it onto Soobin's wound, making sure to not apply too much pressure onto the area.

Soobin couldn't help but feel his cheeks burn at how close Yeonjun's face was to his- he tried not to make eye contact with the male, but it seemed to be failing. Like a magnet, Soobin's eyes kept drawing back to Yeonjun.

After a while, Yeonjun took a band-aid from the kit and carefully placed it onto the wound.

"What happened?" Yeonjun asked.

"I tripped on the way back," Soobin lied, he figured it'd be best not to tell the male about the real reason.

"Be more careful next time, I don't want to see you getting hurt," Yeonjun blurted out, forgetting the fact that Soobin was right there. Yeonjun covered his face with one hand and looked at Soobin who was looking even more flustered.

"I-I'm gonna head upstairs," Soobin mumbled, picking up his bag from the couch.

"Of course," Yeonjun said, packing up the first aid kit. Once Yeonjun was in the kitchen all by himself, he slumped down the kitchen counter, his hands covering his crimson cheeks.

Stupid, why did you have to say it out loud?  Yeonjun sat there for a couple of minutes, sorting out his feelings for the male.

No, he's just an acquaintance, besides, he probably sees me as nothing more than just an ordinary person. With a heavy sigh, Yeonjun got up and placed the first aid kit back into the drawer.

As Yeonjun got ready to head upstairs, he heard a roar outside. He looked out of the window to see dark clouds covering the sky, he could feel anxiety rush in his veins as the soft drizzles of the rain grew heavier and louder.

He rushed upstairs to his room and shut the door tightly behind him. Yeonjun curled into a ball in the corner of his room, hugging his knees tightly as his pulse raced against his chest.

help me...

Soobin laid on his bed, his mind still trying to process what had just happened in the living room. He was awakened from his trance by a loud rumble of thunder, he walked towards the window to see a ferocious storm raging outside.

Oh, it's raining... Soobin thought to himself, feeling as if something was bothering him... almost like he's forgetting something. Just as he was about to go back to bed he came to a sudden halt.

Mr Choi.

Almost immediately, Soobin dashed out of his room and burst through Yeonjun's door. There he saw the male in the same state as he was a few days ago. Soobin sat down next to him, putting his arm around Yeonjun as he pats his arm lightly, this time Yeonjun didn't show any signs of resistance. Yeonjun rested his head onto Soobin's shoulder as he sobbed uncontrollably, his tears falling onto Soobin's sleeve.

"S-sorry..." Yeonjun mumbled.

"Shhh, it's okay," Soobin comforted, now pulling the other male in tighter.

The sky began to clear up as the bullets of rain turned into drizzles, softly pattering outside of Yeonjun's window.  Even after the storm has passed, neither of them got up, just sitting as they were an hour ago.

"Have I ever told you the reason for my astraphobia?" Yeonjun started, his head still resting onto Soobin's shoulder.

"No," Soobin answered softly.

Yeonjun then told the male everything that had happened 15 years ago, about the car crash and his mother's unfortunate death.

"Do you think... if I hadn't gone to school that day, she would still be alive?" Yeonjun asked, his voice breaking.

"Maybe if I wasn't even born she would still be living, breathing on this earth," Yeonjun sobbed. Soobin said nothing, instead, he pulled the male into a warm embrace as he felt Yeonjun's tears dampening his shirt.

"It's not your fault," Soobin whispered. "Nothing stays forever. Your mother may not be here with you physically, but she will forever be living in your heart and no one can change that," he continued.

"Soobin," Yeonjun said.

"Hm?" The male replied.

"Thank you," Yeonjun said, Soobin pulled the male in tighter, feeling a smile stretch across the latter's face against his neck. The two remained as they were, not saying a word, just enjoying being in the comfort of each other's arms.

[ A/N: Just wanted to say that it's fine to cry and still be unable to get over losing a loved one, it's hard and I understand that. But just know that you aren't alone and that things will get better :) ]
