Chapter Seventeen

Later on in the night everyone was packing weapons and supplies in the cars they were taking with them. There were a lot of people at the house and a lot of weapons. Beth was very nervous, this was the biggest thing she had taken part in but she wasn't backing out. The atmosphere was very tension filled as everyone got on with what they were doing. There wasn't much conversation at all between anyone. It was strange how everything can change when everyone is focused, all of the people around were Jack and Beth's friends but right now, their friendship wasn't important. Getting Angelina back was the only thing on everyone's minds.

Arianna was talking to Noah at the front door as they would be leaving soon and she wasn't coming with them. They both looked over at Beth and when they saw her looking, they both looked away again. Subtle. Arianna made her way over to Beth as Noah went back to helping the rest of the guys.

"Are you sure you want to go?" Arianna asked taking Beth's hand into hers

"Of course i am sure" Beth nodded squeezing it

"I'm worried about you" Arianna frowned

"You know i need to go right? I'm fighting to get my baby back" Beth said

"I know that and that's amazing but what if Jack and you get hurt, where does Angelina go?" Arianna asked

"It wont happen and even if it does, i trust you will help me out there" Beth said

"Of course" Arianna nodded "Really be careful out there so it won't come to anything like that okay?"

"I promise" Beth said as she hugged her

Beth made her way over to Jack's car after her chat with Arianna and jumped into the passenger seat. Jack climbed in after her once he was finished loading the car. Two guys jumped into the back seat and buckled up but they didn't say anything to them. They looked so focused and ready which gave Beth hope that this could work.

Jack took Beth's hand and turned in his seat to look at her.

"No emotions babe okay?" Jack said "I know this is hard but we can't get distracted"

"I know" Beth nodded "I'm focused on what we need to do"

Jack nodded at Beth and started the car up. They would be driving for a couple of hours so she had time to get herself in the right mind set. Of course this was emotional but they had to keep everything they were feeling at bay so there were no tears and no distractions.

As Jack drove, the car was silent. Beth watched out the window as she thought about how this could all turn out. It could possibly all go well as she had every faith in the people who were here helping. They had planned it well and knew what they were doing. However, it could go wrong in so many ways. Jack could get hurt again, she could get hurt and they could actually be lying about everything and they may have already hurt the baby. She really hoped the last one never crossed any of their minds yet.

As the couple of hours passed, Beth knew they were close to the destination. When the car stopped she knew it was time.

Everyone climbed out of their cars and began to load up with the weapons. Beth grabbed the gun that Jack had set out for her and walked to the back of the car.

"We're going to get your baby back Beth" One of the guys said

"Yeah we're sorry this happened" Another said

"Thanks guys and thanks for helping" Beth said giving them a smile

Beth walked over to another car where Andrew and Liam were loading their guns up. They smiled on her approach.

"Are you ready for this?" Andrew asked putting his arm around her shoulder

"I am" Beth nodded

"You'll be fine, Jack wouldn't let anything happen to you" Liam said

"That's true," Jack said, approaching them "Can I please borrow my wife for a minute?"

Beth smiled and walked off with him until they were a little bit further away from everyone else.

"Are you ready for this?" Jack asked

"Yes, I'm ready" Beth said

"Got your gun?" Jack asked

"Tucked away" Beth nodded

"Okay, I love you" Jack said

"I love you to" Beth said lightly kissing him on the lips

"I know you'll be with me the whole time but please be really careful" Jack said

"I know, I will, you too," Beth said

"Everyone ready to go" They heard a voice come from the cars

They nodded at each other and walked back to everyone. Jack got his gun ready and they all began to walk to the location on foot. As they walked towards the place, the group got smaller and smaller as people got into their positions around the house and hidden away. It was scary that soon it would only be Jack and Beth but that's what they wanted them to think for now.

When it really was only Jack and Beth, they were almost at the place. It was an old looking, very large house. Beth knew her baby could be in there and she wanted to run in for her but she knew she needed to stay calm. Jack told her this was the place he was beat up last time which made her feel sick, these people were awful. He squeezed her hand as they stood right at the door of the place. Jack kissed Beth one last time before they pushed the door open.
