Chapter Seven

As time gradually moved forward, Beth's stomach got bigger and bigger. She hated how it made her feel but not why it was there. She was excited, she just didn't like the whole body change. Jack was loving it. The fact that Beth's boobs and bum got bigger drove him crazy and as her hormones were all over the place, he could get her into bed very easily.

Beth's choice in clothing was decreasing as the bump got bigger. A lot of the clothes she had didn't fit and she was reduced to wearing sweats a lot of the time which really she didn't mind but when it came to getting dressed up, she had nothing and it upset her to no end. Once she bought something and wore it, she couldn't wear it again as her bump had grown by the time she went back to it. The annoying part of being pregnant.

Today the boys had some work to do and Beth cried for about an hour when Jack left and she had no idea why. She wouldn't be telling him that though, that was embarrassing. She blamed it on hormones.

Beth managed to keep herself occupied by going shopping for the baby. Buying things that would suit both genders of course. She was so tempted to go absolutely crazy but she knew Jack would go crazy if she did so and he saw how much money she had spent. However, after today, she decided she wouldn't go out on her own anymore. People get way too touchy of the bump and someone actually thought they had recognised her a bit which scared her.

It happened in one of the baby shops with the cashier.

"Is this your first baby?" She asked

"Yes, I'm excited but absolutely terrified" Beth smiled

"I've always wanted a family" She said "I'll need to see how this relationship goes" She added with a little laugh

"Oh, I'm just recently married" Beth said "This wasn't planned though"

As she began to pack away Beth's things into a bag, she kept her eyes on her every so often until she was done. It made Beth slightly uncomfortable.

"You know, I feel like i recognise you" She said

"Maybe I just have one of those faces" Beth said, feeling a little surge of panic. This hadn't happened before.

"Maybe, Do you know anyone called James?" She asked

"No, I'm the wrong person" Beth said

"You just loo.."

"I have to go now," Beth said, cutting her off and grabbing her bags before escaping from the very uncomfortable situation.

Once she was in the car, she pushed that situation to the back of her brain. It probably wasn't going to happen again but she wondered what she was to James? She missed him.

When Beth got home, she stepped into the house to be met by a loud noise from the living room. She sat her bags down in the kitchen before going to find out who was here. The living room was filled with most of Jack's friends and Noah, Liam and Andrew were there too.

"Hey baby" Jack smiled. He was slightly drunk. They had been watching football with beer, clearly a lot of it. Maybe they needed it after whatever it was they were up to today.

"Hey guys" Beth smiled looking around the room before she spotted the carpet. There was a huge stain on it like someone had spilled a drink on it or something. She had spent a lot of time cleaning the whole house yesterday to come back to this. Her hormones kicked in.

"What's on the carpet?" Beth asked

"Oh, one of the guys spilled something, we'll clean it up later" Jack said approaching

"That's going to stain" Beth said with her voice cracking a bit. Why was she crying over something like this? Stupid pregnancy hormones.

Jack took Beth out of the room so she wouldn't embarrass herself in front of the whole room of guys and tried to calm her down.

"Calm down, it's only a carpet" Jack soothed "It will be cleaned, I promise"

"Its not, I spent all my time cleaning yesterday to come back to that, we need a new carpet" Beth bubbled

"These pregnancy hormones are really messing with you huh?" Jack giggled a little

"Don't laugh at me Jack" Beth sobbed

"I'm sorry I'm sorry, i didn't mean it" Jack said pulling her into a hug

"I'm going to bed" Beth sighed

"Its only six o'clock?" Jack questioned

"I'm going to bed" Beth repeated herself and walked off upstairs

Beth changed and climbed into bed and tried drowning out the noise of the boys downstairs. It eventually worked and she went off to sleep at this very early time.

Her blissful sleep was rudely interrupted with very loud chatter and the door slamming downstairs.

"Everyone's left babe" Jack said stumbling into the room

"Thank you very much for waking me up" Beth huffed looking at the clock which read nine

"Are you okay?" Jack asked sitting on the bed

"I hate these stupid hormones and what they make me do, I don't want to cry over a carpet stain but i can't help it" Beth sighed

"Its okay, i understand, it'll be worth it in the end" Jack smiled

"Yeah i guess" Beth sighed

"You seem fed up" Jack said

"I am, I'm fed up with being emotional and getting fat" Beth said

"It's all part of this amazing process babe and you're not getting fat, our little baby is growing in there" Jack smiled running his hand across her swollen stomach

"I dislike you" Beth said snuggling into his side

"I love you too," Jack laughed.
