DESTINY'S PLAY

ALMOST A KISS

           Abhi was sleeping on his bed when Megha came into their room after her work in the kitchen. She changed into pajamas and tied her hair into a bun and got into bed. She pulled the covers on them and lied on her side staring at the ceiling.

          She turned towards the glass window as Abhi was thinking 'Why isn't she hugging me today? Was it not intensional yesterday? But she was still awake when she hugged me' looking at her.

         Suddenly Megha felt a hand on her waist and opened her eyes. She could feel his breath on her hair and it was uneven meaning he was awake. She finally faced him and tilted her head to look at him which made a perfect kiss angle.

         They could feel each others breath on their lips. Abhi started leaning towards her and Megha closed her eyes but opened after a few seconds feeling nothing to see Abhi's mischief expression.

         "Were you thinking about kissing me?" Abhi laughed making her eyes widen and pushed him onto his back and turned to the other side.

         'God! Meghana get a grip you idiot. You are so stupid to even think he'd try to work out this marriage. And like an idiot you are almost gave him your first kiss. Compose your self and avoid him that's best' Megha thought while Abhi was still laughing.

She turned to him and yelled "Shut up" which made him quite as she took the pillow and a blanket from closet and slept on the couch making his face blank.

Abhi woke up from his sleep to see Megha in western wear. She didn't bother to talk to him and just took her bag and went down. He got up and did his morning routine and soon followed her. Megha was talking to Mohan when Abhi completed his breakfast and joined them.

          "Aunty I'll leave now. Bye" Megha said.

             "You didn't even have breakfast. Have something and go" Devayani said holding her hand.

              "I'm not hungry aunty" Megha said and was about to leave but Maha stopped her and kept a box in her bag.

               "I packed you lunch or you'll faint by afternoon" Maha said.

               "Ok doctor" Megha saluted with two fingers with a smile and hugged Maha before going out.

                Abhi followed her towards the garage and went to the passenger side to open the car door but stopped when he saw Megha getting on her scooty.

                "You are going on that?" Abhi asked making Megha ignore him and put on her helmet before reversing her scooty and drove off.

                "Damn stubborn girl" Abhi cursed and got into his car. After half an hour he was at his work and went into his cabin. Varun came in and gave him the new project file to check before submitting it to the finance department.

                "Did she come?" Abhi asked.

                "Who? Tara she's out didn't you see her on your way here?" Varun asked.

                 "I'm asking about that Ms. Attitude" Abhi said losing his patience.

                 "You mean Mrs. Attitude. No she didn't come" Varun mocked which made Abhi glare at him instantly shutting him up.

                 Abhi called her and it was ringing continuously he tried the third time and he shouted "Where are you?" but soon his expression changed and he immediately rushed out leaving Varun calling his name behind.
