Abhi reached the hospital and rushed in asking the room number at reception before going up. He opened the door to see Megha sleeping on the bed with a blood saline bottle "What the hell?" he shouted making Megha jump and nurse came in.
"What are you doing here?" Megha asked.
"What are you doing here? I left you for half day and see what happened. God damn it why don't you ever listen to me?" Abhi yelled making nurse say "Sir please don't shout this is hospital and other parents get disturbed".
Abhi sighed and went to her and started checking her for the injuries making Megha ask "What are you doing?".
"Checking for injuries" Abhi said making her laugh "Why would I be injured if I'm donating blood?".
"This is what I was about to say on the phone but you disconnected the call" Nurse said making him sigh once again as the nurse removed the needle from Megha's vein and bandaged it before leaving from there.
Abhi hugged Megha making her breath stuck in her throat. She exhaled unevenly and was about to put her hands around him but stopped thinking about last night incident and started pulling back making Abhi leave her and hand her the food box from her bag.
After the hospital scene Abhi amd Megha came to work in the same car making others whisper about them but they just ignored it and got into the elevator. Megha leaned onto the elevator wall opposite to Abhi feeling a little tired.
Abhi noticed this but didn't comment and got off when they reached their floor. They went to their respective cabins but Megha was shocked to see Sushanth, Saketh and Pallavi in her cabin working.
"They promoted you" Megha said making them look at her while Pallavi hugged her and mumbled slowly "No one knows anything" before pulling back.
"They did. Lucky we are working together from now" Saketh said making everyone nod and start their work.
After a few minutes Tara came in with a food bag and kept it beside Megha's system making her raise her eyebrows in question.
"I'm confused too. Open it and we've a lot to talk about at lunch" Tara said and went to do her work. Megha took out the box from the cover to see it's a fruit salad box and then took the note from under the box which read 'Don't want you in hospital again and sorry for last night, AB'.
Megha's face broke into a big grin making others look at her with questioning eyes but Pallavi was the one who took the slip and read making Megha snatch it back and throw it into her bag.
When it was lunch hour Pallavi and Tara literally threw the boys out of the cabin and rounded Megha for the details who's looking like a puppy stuck between the pack of wolves.
"Why would our cold hearted bachelor boss who sends chills through everyone ordered food for you?" Tara demanded.
"Well he isn't a cold hearted bachelor anymore he is married to this girl sitting right in front of us" Pallavi said making Tara fall into the chair with wide eyes.
"You better tell me everything now young lady" Tara warned making Megha narrate their marriage story. And Tara sat like statue with literal shock in her face.
"And what was that note about the hospital?" Pallavi asked.
"I came on my bike but abandoned it on my way since I helped a pregnant lady who was in an accident and donated my blood" Megha said.
"Oh no wonder he's angry and tensed this morning" Tara commented.
"Then what is he sorry for?" Pallavi asked making Megha's eyes widen and her cheeks turned red.
Megha got up saying "Nothing I'm hungry let's go" moved to the door but stopped when Tara asked "If there is nothing why are you red?"
"Umm...me? Oh please I'm angry cause I'm hungry" Megha covered and opened the door to see Abhi standing there. The remaining two girls stood when he started walking into the cabin making Megha move backwards.
"You should have told me that you three would work even in lunch I should've cancelled your lunch time" Abhi said looking at Megha then shifted his gaze towards the other two girls who widened their eyes before rushing out of the cabin and towards cafeteria leaving them alone on the floor.
"We're going to a charity event tonight be ready by seven" Abhi said making her eyes wide.
"I never got and accepted the invitation" Megha said.
"Well! I did and you are tagging along with me" Abhi ordered sitting in one of the chairs at the cubicles.
"Why would you think I'll come?" Megha asked.
"Well! 1. You arey date 2. You are my wife and 3. I don't want you to be jealous if I take someone else " Abhi reasoned.
"Gosh! You think I'd be jealous over the girls who cling to you. You must be so full of yourself" Megha scoffed.
"We'll see" Abhi got up and stopped before going out and asked "So how was the salad?" causing Megha to smile but turn around with a blank expression.
"Worst" Megha commented making Abhi nod his head and said with mischief in his eyes "Better than I thought. Good" and left towards his cabin with a little twitch at the corner of his lips making Megha smile.
