FATHER DAUGHTER BONDING

          Megha was sitting on the dining table with a plate in her hand when her father came out with her favorite curry gutti vankaya and served her. They both started eating and Megha moaned tasting his father's handmade curry "Wow! Baby it's so tasty".

           RK laughed and asked "I knew you would like it. Acha when are you leaving?" making Megha stop eating and narrowed her eyes.

           "Shall I go now? You want me to leave anyhow" Megha said angrily.

            RK sighed and caressed her hair "If it's possible I would never send you back to your husband after all you are my precious daughter" making her smile lightly.

            "I missed you too baby" Megha side hugging him before taking her and RK's plate to wash.

             Megha was packing her remaining clothes when he asked "So....How is everyone treating you in the house?"

              "Nice mainly Devayani aunty she's so good in talking and cracking jokes and Mohan uncle is just like you" Megha said with a smile.

               "Umm...How about Abhi?" RK asked uncertainly making Megha zip her suitcase and sit beside him.

                Megha held her father's hand in hers explaining "Naanna our marriage was unexpected and we're still adjusting to it and it takes time but so far we're good to each other. Other than a little bit of irritating each other" laughing at the last line.

                 Suddenly her phone pinged making her look at it. She rushed to the window and saw a car parked in front of the house making RK say "Let me invite him inside" and was about to rush out but Megha stopped him.

                "No need. You have a night shift let's go, he won't feel bad for these silly things" Megha said handing him his bag and dragged hers outside locking the door.

               Abhi came out of the car seeing RK and greeted him "Hi uncle how are you?"

               "I'm good how are you? Is my daughter making you insane yet?" RK joked making his daughter push his shoulder as Abhi smiled a little. There's this emotion and emptiness that he never got this thing with his father even if Mohan was good at parenting he's still Varun's father.

               "Let's go bye baby" Megha hugging her father and got into the car with Abhi while RK got on his bike and travelled in different direction.

              
"So...Why did you come?" Megha asked after sometime into their drive.

          "To pick you" Abhi answered.

          "I would have taken a cab" Megha said.

          "It's almost seven I didn't want you to get in trouble" Abhi said making her smile a little but soon vanished when he continued "If you don't join work from next week I'll deduct your whole salary".

           "That means you already deducted half?"Megha asked to which he shrugged making her grit her teeth.

            "God! Here I thought you at least cared a bit" Megha mumbled making him smile a bit.

            "Why didn't you tell me when you were leaving this morning?" Abhi asked slightly irritated.

             "I didn't want you to wake up since you are sleeping so peacefully just like a cute baby" Megha teased.

             "I don't sleep like a baby and I'm anything but cute" Abhi said.

             "Oh really? See this" Megha said and showed her phone to him which has his sleeping pics making him think 'I really did look cute'.

             "Why do you have those?" Abhi asked taking her phone and gave it back to her a few seconds later.

             "Oh my god you deleted the pics. You are so stupid" Megha scolded him by checking her phone's gallery.
