"W-what?!" nauutal kong tanong sa kanya.
Nagulat siya sa naging reaksyon ko. Gosh! I was obviously taken aback. He even noticed! I reached for a glass of water and started drinking it slowly but my eyes weren't leaving him.
"Gusto ko lang namang malaman cause maybe I can get something that we can use? Are you okay" he looked so confused.
"Ah! Oo. Yung ano kasi.... makati sa lalamunan" I reasoned out.
Tumango siya pero ang atensyon ay nasa akin pa rin, hinihintay ang sagot ko.
"Wala akong tinatago sa'yo" diretsahang sagot ko sa kanya.
Talaga ba Kiara? Memetey?
Napa-mura ako sa isip at muling napa-inom ng tubig. Patong-patong na naman yung kasinungalingan ko! Bakit ba kasi sa dinami-dami ng pwede niyang itanong, 'yon pa!
I looked down and just swerved my attention on the food. No one even bothered to talk. Awkwardness was all over the place. Even the slightest movement feels awkward for me. Kulang nalang ipako na ako sa kinauupuan ko.
It was soothing to hear the waves and the sea breeze that is relentlessly blowing. Niyakap ko nalang ang sarili ko dahil sa sobrang lamig. I sniffed a little before taking a bite of my food. Ang dami niya talagang inorder e, nakakahiya naman kung hindi ko siya tutulungang ubusin.
"You don't need to force yourself if you can't" he suddenly said.
"Huh?"
"The food. I'm talking about the food. Wag mong pilitin kung hindi mo kaya." he licked his lower lip.
This time I can sense that he's trying to hide a smirk. Nanliit ang mga mata ko. Umiwas nalang ako ng tingin nang magsimula siyang tumitig sa akin. He suddenly kept a straight face. Ang awkward, potek!
"By tomorrow, I will forthwith transfer money to your account" he said before sipping on his juice.
"For what?" I asked, confused.
"I already sold the house. The one we used to have. You paid half of that so I'm giving back your shares" he replied before slowly putting down his beverage.
"Ahh. Okay" dahan-dahan akong tumango sa kanya.
"Sorry, if I didn't tell you earlier" he wiped the side of his lips using his thumb.
"Hindi. Don't worry. Okay lang." I waved my hands a little to show him what I feel "Agree ako doon sa ginawa mo tutal doon din naman talaga tutungo 'yon e. "
I made a small smile. Naghahatian na kami ng properties ngayon, huh.
