Once in a field of green,
She smiled and laughed and played,
because it was amazing to be five years old,
She laid down and made animals,
out of the clouds,
And her dog waged her tail and begged her to play ball,
And everything seemed new and exciting,
And her dad payed attention to her,
And everything was perfect,
And everything was pretty,
And nobody died,
That was the year her brother turned two,
And that was the year her step dad took,
her fishing and sledding,
Once in a field of white,
She slid down the hill with a smile on her face,
Because she was finally ten,
She dreamed of traveling,
the world alone,
And her dog kissed her and ate the snowballs,
And anything seemed possible,
And she was losing her father's attention,
and she told herself she was happy,
And she made new friends,
And she didn't cry,
That was the year her youngest brother turned three,
And that was the year her step dad let,
her drive the tractor,
Once in a field of red,
She frowned and went deep into her mind,
because she didn't understand the darkness lurking there,
She learned to hide feelings,
And she cried rivers of tears,
And her dog was getting old,
And everything seemed unfair,
And she had her twelfth birthday,
And everything seemed unfair,
And she didn't talk to her dad,
And she wanted to be pretty,
And she wanted to be skinny,
And she missed her brothers,
And that was the year that she,
wished for a blade,
And that's why,
Depression, Anxiety, and Anorexia took over her beautiful mind,
And she wished to die,
And her dad didn't care for her,
And she felt alone,
And that's why when,
She turned fifteen,
She said goodbye and slit her wrist,
And no one knew why,
Because she used to be so happy,
And she didn't scream,
And she smiled as she took her last breath,
