Chapter 43

Hawks POV.
I felt movement in between my arms, causing me to wake up.

I opened my eyes to see Y/N squirming around, almost like she was having a nightmare.

I looked over at the time, before I woke her up.

'7:17am'

I looked back down at her and slowly started shaking her awake.

"Babybird, wake up." I said as she slowly started waking up.

She shot her eyes opened and looked over at me.

"What happened?" I said as I sat up and pulled her into my arms.

"Just a flashback.. when I met him." She said as she put her head into my collar.

I rubbed her back, trying to relax her from the dream.

"Let me get ready." She said as she separated from the hug and got out of bed.

I got up as well and changed into my work clothes.

I walked out of the room as she started to change.

I put on my shoes and grabbed Y/N's bag.

She soon walked out of the bedroom and rubbed her eyes.

"Are you really coming to classes with me today." She groaned as I picked her up.

I nodded at what she said as I walked out the front door and started to fly off to school.

"If I meet that dude he is dead." I said as I felt her gripping onto my clothes.

"Don't kill anyone." She said as she laughed.

Soon I arrived at the school, I placed her down as she fixed her clothes.

I walked beside her as she started walking into the building.

"Oh my god! Is that pro hero Hawks?!" Someone said off in the crowd of people.

Everyone was looking at me while I was walking with Y/N.

"Why is he with her?" I heard another person say.

That sentence made me a little mad but I pushed it to the side as we arrived at her class.

I walked in the room behind her as everyone's eyes focused on me.

I stood near the front door as I watched her go sit down.

She was sitting next to Kirishima, as Mina soon ran to her desk.

I couldn't understand what she was saying but I just pushed it aside.

I just want to meet that kid. He has no right hurting her.

I thought as the class started.

Y/N placed her head down on the desk, it seemed like she was falling asleep.

I shot out a feather without anyone seeing, and tapped her leg with it, causing her to sit up.

Her vision connected with mine as I gave her a soft smile.

The class soon ended and I waited for Y/N to walk out.

I walked a little behind her so no one would think anything.

As I trailed a little behind, a group of kids ran towards me.

"Can I have a autograph!" One of them said.

They surrounded me to where I couldn't move or follow behind anymore. I watched her slowly trail off into the distance, fading from my vision.

"Maybe later, but I really have to get going." I said as I tried to push by.

"Just a few minutes!" One of them said as they held out a piece of paper.

I shot out some feathers, pushing them away from me.

"I'm sorry but I really have to get going, I have a job to do right now." I said as I walked away and returned the feathers.

Where did she go?

I thought as I walked down the hallways, looking left and right.

I heard a familiar voice as I turned a corner.

"Get the fuck off me!" I heard someone say, followed by a loud thump.

"Remember what I said now?" I heard someone else say but this voice was lower.

I looked around the corner to see Y/N on the floor, followed by a guy towering over her.

He grabbed her shirt, lifting her off the ground.

"I'm going to have to stop you right there." I said as I shot out a feather, shooting him back against the wall.

He dropped her body, causing her to land back on the floor.

I walked over to him, staring into his eyes.

"If you ever, and I mean ever touch her again. You're as good as gone." I said as I lowered my tone.

Normally I would be nice, but I can't stand someone hurting her.

I thought as he quickly nodded his head. I released the feather, dropping him to the floor.

He hurried to his feet and ran away from the situation.

I walked over to Y/N and helped her off the floor.

"Are you ok?" I said as I brushed her off.

She laughed and looked up at me, connecting eye contact.

"I'll be fine, but thank you." She said as she hugged me.

I wrapped my arms around her, followed by my wings.

"I'll be here no matter what to protect you."
