I watched as Marie flew off into space. I was stupid and let her go, but I couldn't bring myself to kill her; I just couldn't. The stormtroopers scattered around, some trying to board ships. STOP." I yelled. "Just let them go. We can track them and get the jump on them later." They immediately ceased activity and went about security measures. I powered up my saber again and slashed it through a power panel again and again and again until it was a smoking mess. A few people had backed away, fear radiating off them. "GET BACK TO WORK," I screamed and stormed off. I pushed past Kylo, who had come in as they were flying away. He followed behind. "What happened back there." I shook my head. "She caught me off guard." He scoffed. "I doubt that very much." I picked up the pace. "I don't want to talk about it right now. I just want to go home and start dealing with this tomorrow. I'm too pissed off."

Bill was sitting in the living room when we came in. He was doing a crossword puzzle. "She's gone, Bill. I hope she's fucking happy because no one else is. She stole a ship and flew off into the goddamn night." I stormed into my room, realizing she broke in here to take the saber. "Bitch." I whispered, then kicked and threw a pillow across the room. I came back out and walked into Bill and Maire's room. He was sitting on the bed with tears pooling in his eyes. "It's alright, Bill. She'll come back. She won't leave her son or you." He looked up at me, sitting on the bed. "I wouldn't be so sure, Alex." He opened his hand, revealing Marie's ring. He clutched it in his hand and softly cried. I wrapped him in a tight hug. "I'm so sorry, Bill. This is all my fault." He wiped his eyes. "No, it's not she did this. She chose to leave us over something stupid." I felt terrible she was doing this to Bill.

I hope you're happy. Your husband is in pain thanks to you, and your son will probably start calling me mom soon since his abandoned him. You can come back, or I can and will hunt you down, and there will be no mercy for you this time.

She didn't respond, but I didn't expect her, too. She knows I'm telling the truth. "I'm scared for her, Alex, and she's with rebels. What if they try to hurt her to get to you." I scoffed. "I wouldn't worry about that, Bill. She seems to have chosen her side. She went with them willingly." I knew before saying it that it was the wrong thing because knowing that she left without force and her own volition made it somehow worse. "I'll be alright, Alex. I just need to process this." I rubbed his arm, and he looked at my hand. I moved my hand and stood up. "I'll be in bed if you need anything, ok. Please get some sleep." I kissed him on the cheek and walked away.

I woke up the next morning in a terrible mood. I got the kids dressed and sent them off to the learning program we started up for some of the officer's children. It's what we would call a daycare at home. Bill didn't seem to mind. He was feeling down and needed a break.

I went about my regular duties for the day, trying to focus my mind on anything else. When I was finished for the day. I collected to kids, and we walked home, one on each hand. "Auntie Alex, are you a bad person," Elias asked. "Hunny, where did you hear a thing like that?" I asked, watching him as we walked. "He heard Aunt Marie say it," Blake whispered. I turned my attention to her. "How do you know?" she shrugged her shoulders. "I heard him." I widened my eyes and waited for her to say something else. "Just now, I heard him." I smiled.

"Well, we all heard him, baby." She tugged on my hand and pointed to her head. "I heard him, mommy." Sneaky little girl, I knew this would happen Kylo told me it does, but I didn't think it would happen so soon. Kylo will be so excited I can't wait to tell him. "Oh, I got ya." I gave her a little wink and smiled. "Daddy told me that mommy thinks your a bad person, but I don't think that's true. I love you." I squeezed his hand. "I love you too, Elias, and don't worry. Mommy will be home soon, I promise." When we got home, I sent our cook home for the night. I just wanted a chill night at home with Bill and the kids. "Hey, guys, how about we get some dinner and then get a bath." Blake stood with her hands on her hips. "What about ice cream?" I could never have any doubt who her father is, that's for sure. "Well, if your good, you can have some ice cream." I shook my head, laughing to myself. "Now go play until dinners ready." Blake grabbed Elias's hand and dragged him to her bedroom.
