Callahan was aware of the stowaway who had been following him for quiet sometime. "Miss Avni, you can stop following me and you can join me if you like to" Avni was surprised and followed into his footsteps.
"How do you know it was me?" He stopped and looked at her. "Wrong question Miss Avni, the one question you should be asking is how I don't know it was you at all. No one else would be curious enough to think why I want to take a stroll in an unknown place. Well no one except for you. You are like my shadow I cannot shake off." He told her.
"So, you don't want me here, I can get back if you like to Prince Cal" He smiled "You find my name at last." He nodded as if it was some great achievement from her side.
"Yes, I did. I am surprised you know, how you sent me the email, The prince of Hearts? Really?" She asked as they neared the car.
"It is what one of my fan girls called me once. I just kind of stuck with that name." Avni gave him a genuine smile. "There is a Fanclub then?" She thought.
"What are you doing out here Prince Cal?" She asked finally. "Callahan, Miss Avni, I am Cal only to my little sister, and I want to buy an authentic ring for someone so if you will help me, I would be so kind because you know the markets, the people and the places. I think you would be the perfect woman to accompany me." She chuckled
"I am the only woman who can accompany you Your Highness. And not get irritated of unusually high-end demands. Shall we procced?" She asked. "Definitely yes."
And the car drove towards the busy streets of Jaipur. She pointed him in right direction as he thought, the pieces were exquisite as he expected them to be. "I am looking for something very unique Cost doesn't matter." Callahan said to her.
And she explained the same to shopkeeper. And then he took out a small wooden chest inside was something that looked lost in time. A necklace set looked like from ancient time itself. "This is beautiful" Avni exclaimed.
But he wanted the ring only. Not the whole piece. And the shopkeeper would only sell the entire set.
"we take it, I can take the ring and you can get the whole set Miss Avni, consider it a gift for your precious time." He said and he paid. It was like a slap on Avni's face. And she thought he had changed.
But no how can she forget a person cannot change this easily. As they gotten back in the car it was utterly very silent. He didn't know that he had offended her so much, and broke something he may never regain.
As usual he was entirely clueless about it. The driver parked at the hotel gates and Avni was the first one to get out with the little gift for her time as he said. How can someone be this much insensitive towards a person? Doesn't he care who he hurts with his words? Doesn't he care who he can offend?
No just because he is some hot shot prince, he can treat people as dirt because it falls within his princely rights. "Miss Avni, wait" Callahan called. But she was not in the mood to listen to him at all. "Avni" He called again but it fell into deaf ears.
Callahan put his hands into his pocket and walked towards his room wondering what he did to offend her this time. But he found nothing wrong with the way he treated her. His own men always appreciate the gifts he bestowed upon them.
And this was quite pricy gift to bestow upon her. Still she was angry. Not happy, that is why he doesn't do relationship. Girls are always one complicated creature to understand.
She fell on bed after locking her room. She looked at the wooden Jewelry box. How can he even say that to her? For her time? For her time? She didn't give her precious time to him so that he can slap this on her face for her services.
