Someone clapped their hand and all of them looked at the man coming in. "Well said, very well said. You must be the new Princess, that came from a foreign land and made this land her home." Callahan bowed
"Elder, we didn't know you would be coming." The man passed Avni and held Callahan. "That is no way to greet your grandfather young lad." Then he picked him up and hugged him and whispered "And she is a very good choice, she will make a fine queen someday" Callahan pulled back looking at Avni.
This thought hasn't ever graced his mind. Yes, his grandfather was very right, she can become a very fine queen someday. He pulled back. "So are you not going to introduce me to your new friend." The old man asked. "Avni, he is my mother's father, my maternal grandfather. Elder, she is Princess Avni." Avni bowed.
"Now, now this is not how you greet me young lady" Avni was surprised to be pulled into a hug by the man. "Dad, you are crushing her. You can have the time with your grandchildren later, there are matters needs to be discussed with the council now all of you are here that is and Princess Avni is present as well." The queen said.
He let go of Avni and stood aside. "Very well then, let's get this thing done." He said. "What you mean? Will she be here? She is an outsider father..." "Louie shut your daughter if you love your position as a council member, or your seat in ministry." He held Margret's hand shaking his head.
"But..." She whispered and earned back a glare from her father. That made up shut up finally. "Fine, one day you all bow before me and then I will show you how well I can handle my position" She thought looking at them and specially Avni who was surrounded by Callahan, the Queen and her father.
"I am fine Your Highness; it is just a scrape." Callahan wasn't very convinced. "not a scrap, it is bleeding, now stay still ok, and let me get this done." Avni protested. "Listen to him young lady, he is right." The old man said
. "Don't you all have a meeting to attend?" She asked. They nodded, "We do, but today was just an introduction meeting, so, that, they can get introduced to the new member of the Royal family." Callahan said. "And why it was so, that they come to meet me, I am just visiting am I not?" Callahan gave her another on his gentle smiles.
"You are asking the wrong question again Princess, the question you should be asking is why they won't be coming here to meet you Princess? It is their best interest to know the members of royal family and you are a part of that family now, whether you like it or not." The old man nodded.
"He is right, you are a part of the family. And to think it I always preferred the grand daughters over grandsons." Then all of them looked at the Queen. Callahan walked up to her and took his position on her side, and his grandfather stood on another side.
"Honourable Ministers, Councilmen, Elders, I know you are here to access the condition here before the grand crowning ceremony. My son will soon take the throne, but before that, I would like you all to meet the newest member of this Royal Family. Let me introduce you all to Princess Avni" Avni stood up as Queen pointed to her and did a curtsy that would put all the trained royals to shame.
"It is nice to meet you all, Councilmen, and Elders." She said in a calm and calculated voice. She was still trying to observe the situation in hand. She got the mixed feeling from them. They are not quite on-board idea of having a Princess who was not off here. But not all of them are dismissing the idea just yet.
"Now, the introduction had been done let's discuss the matters in hand. So, there are the crowning ceremony to be done, before that, we need to check all the progress this country had made under your rule my queen, this is just a procedure. We will start with the food stocks." The councilmen begin.
