A/N So I totally forgot to add the shopping trip with the last part so I'll get this posted now. The next chapter will continue on from how this ended.
-----------
"What do you think about this one?" Patrick says while looking at cribs.
"Honestly it is ugly. I have never really been a huge fan of light stained wood it looks cheap."
"Ok so maybe a darker wood or maybe white?"
"Oh my god you come look at this crib." Says Patrick's mom coming from around the corner.
"Wow it is beautiful! What do you think babe?"
"It's perfect." He is tearing up. He puts his arm around my waist and kisses my forehead.
"Now let's go look at some car seats shall we." Says Amanda as we tell the store clerk that we want the matching crib and changing table set times two.
------------
"Our babies are going to be so spoiled." I say while eating a late lunch with Patrick and his mom.
"They are our kids what do you expect." Patrick says taking a sip of his water.
"I don't know how you can drink seltzer water."
"It's good."
"I prefer that my water nat fizz."
"You're the odd one."
"Sure and these aren't your babies." I say sarcastically.
"I love you."
"Nice save there buddy, but I love you too." I say patting his upper thigh.
"So have you two decided which room you are going to use as the nursery?" Amanda asks.
"Well when we first planned out the house we didn't think we would ever have twins so we put the smaller bedroom next to ours for the nursery, but even though they are good sized rooms we need a bigger one for the twins, so actually the room next to Carly's is the one we will be using. We wanted to use the one that Carly is in now, but we didn't want to kick her out and even though she is already looking for an apartment the twins are due in two months, but twins always come early and we need to get the nursery done, but they are the same size." I say.
"You're going to miss having Carly around all the time aren't you."
"Yeah she is my best friend and it has been wonderful having her living with us, but I'm sure we will be seeing her quite often. Besides I think it will be nice having the house to ourselves to grow our family in."
"So Patrick are you ready for the new racing season to start?"
"Of course, but when I agreed to do the ten endurance races I didn't think that we would be expecting twins in March."
"Well Sam if you ever need any help when Patrick is away just let me know I'm a phone call and plane ride away."
"Thank you and I'll probably be taking you up on your offer since my mom has a full time job and I don't want her taking so much time off."
"I would be happy to."
"Excuse me I have to take this." Patrick says getting up as his phone rings.
---------
Patrick's POV
"Hey how is it going?"
"I think you will love it. Has Sam suspected anything?"
"No she hasn't. I don't know how to keep going around this. I'm afraid of how she will react. She is having twins and she is very hormonal lately."
"Don't worry I know how it can be."
"Ok well I will come by tomorrow before I leave for Daytona. I just have to come up an excuse to leave the house without Sam."
"Ok well I'll see you tomorrow. Good luck."
-----------
"Sorry about that Shonda jsut had a question about what day we were returning from Daytona." I say sitting back down at the table.
"It's fine we were just having some girl talk." Sam says.
I can't help but think to myself how gorgeous she looks today. She is absolutely glowing.
"Well I need to get back to my hotel to gather my things and get to the airport." Amanda says.
Sam's POV
"Mom next time you should stay longer it is so nice having you here." Patrick says as we drop off his mom at the airport.
"You both enjoy your time together before your little ones arrive. I'll be back when they are born for a few months or however long you need." She says hugging both of us and going to her gate.
---------
"I love your mom. I can't think how awesome it was growing up with her as a mom." I say while laying in bed watching TV with Patrick.
"She is awesome and I know that you will be a wonderful mom, you already are."
"You will be amazing dad too. You are an amazing husband."
"I'm so glad you are coming to the race this weekend."
"Of course. It is the last race I can go to before the babies."
"Then they can come too when they are older."
"Well we will have to get them headphones."
"Of course but they will look cute."
"They will."
"Goodnight babe."
"Goodnight love you."
"Love you too."
