When Dreams Become Reality

Part 41

A/N Sorry I haven't updated in awhile. I am going to be finishing up my CNA class on Wednesday that I need for nursing school. I have been so busy with that and work. Basically that has been my whole summer so far and that really sucks, but without further wait I give you your new update.

Fall came and went. Winter was now upon us. Not only that, but it was Lily's first Christmas.

"Babe guess what day it is?" I say waking up a very sleepy Patrick next to me.

"Hmm what? Sam do you know how early it is?" He says looking at the clock.

"But it is Lily's first Christmas."

"What it is Christmas?" Patrick says jumping out of bed and he begins pacing back and forth.

"Babe what's wrong?"

"Hmm oh nothing. I'm gonna go start some coffee and get the camera. You get Lily." He says walking out of the room.

I walk into Lily's room and look at my peacefully sleeping daughter. She is wearing her Nemo footie pjs that she got from Amanda for Christmas. She looks so adorable. Her hair is all messed up just like her daddy's is in the morning and she has drool coming out of the corner of her mouth just like me. She is the perfect mix of the two of us, but she has all of her daddy's looks that this makes it hard for me to wake her up.

"Lily...." I say as her eyes open.

"Hey Lilybug you ready for your first Christmas? Let's get that diaper changed so we can go meet daddy downstairs."

After changing her diaper we head downstairs to start the Christmas festivities.

"There are my two favorite girls." Patrick says obviously in a better mood than earlier. "Lily are you still sleepy." He says looking at Lily who is curled up against my chest.

"Presents?" I ask.

"Yes let's do it." He says.

"Ok so I am so sorry but I totally thought I had another day to get your present. I have been so busy as you know, but we didn't really didn't go on our own family vacation this last summer. I mean we did, but that was more of a healing thing and getting away from the media. So since you and Lily are coming to LeMans in June I thought that we could do a family vacation over in Germany after the race. I was going to get everything planned and booked, but I just ran out of time, but that is my Christmas gift to you."

"Patrick that is the most perfect gift besides you and the girls that anyone has given me. I have never been out of the country and I have always wanted to see Germany and see where my ansestors come from. Thanks babe." I say giving him a huge hug and passionate kiss.

"Well I think this was a perfect first Christmas don't you think." He says looking at Lily who is asleep in the wrapping paper cluching her new Dory stuffed animal.

"It was and I can't wait for dinner with Carly and William."

"Lily is going to be pooped after today."

*The Next Day*

"So Carly is going to watch Lily and we are going on a much needed date night." Says Patrick as he walks into the bathroom while I'm getting ready.

"Is she coming over here or do we have to bring Lily to her?"

"We are bringing Lily to her and then Carly will drop her off in the morning on the way to the studio."

"Oh so we get the house to ourselves tonight too. What is the occasion?"

"I just want to spend a wonderful night with my wife and then bring her back here and show her how much I love her."

"It has been awhile hasn't it."

"Yeah and I'm sorry. I have been so busy with work before the break and then getting ready for the racing season to finally kick into gear, but I want to have a wonderful night full of love with my wife. Which by the way is the other part of your Christmas present."

"Best Christmas presents ever and you know why?"

"Hmm why?"

"Because I love my husband greatly and for him to do a date night and a family vacation as a Christmas present makes for one less thing I have to plan and sometimes I like to be able to relax especially in the arms of my handsome jawdropping husband who I am so lucky to have."

"Hmm a wise person once told me 'Follow your dreams and they will become reality....' I love you babe."

"I love you too." I say as we kiss.

"So where are we going?" I say after dropping off Lily.

"Well we are channeling a true high school date night and we are going bowling."

"Seriously??"

"Yep and then we are going to go to the beach and watch the sunset and then we are going to channel a true married couple ad go home and so each other how much we love each other even though we both know already how much we love one another."

So we went bowling and truth be told it was actually really fun. Of course Patrick had his game face on so he could kick my ass, but it didn't stay for long as I loosened him up and he was carefree by the end of the game. We were now on our way to the beach. We found a secluded spot and went and sat there while we watched the sun go down. I was sitting in his lap and Patrick kept kissing my neck whispering sweet little things into my ear.

"So Lily will be one in March and I was thinking that maybe we could start trying again once she turns one." I say with a little hesitation.

"I think that is a perfect idea. Not to close but not to far apart and if we want more kids we need to start on the second one soon before it is to late."

"Oh trust me I don't want to wait to have another baby and maybe you will get you son this time and he will look like you which will make it so hard for me to say no to both of our kids because Lily looks so much like her daddy."

"I still need a little girl who looks just like her mommy still though too."

"Don't worry I want more than just two kids."

"How many do you want?"

"Three maybe four. I want a house full of kids but not too many kids. I would draw the line at six though."

"I have always wanted a big family and then we will have a tuck load of grandkids to spoil and that just seems like so much fun."

"Oh that does, but don't get too much ahead of yourself because we still have a long life to live together before grandkids are in the picture."

"Oh trust me I can't wait for what life has in store for the two of us, but just as long as we are in this together until the end and we die in each others arms I don't care because life with out you would just not exist. I wouldn't be able to live without you. You keep me breathing because you are my breath and I love you so much that love can't even begin to describe how much you mean to me."

I have tears in my eyes by his words. He is just so perfect that I can not begin to describe how much he means to me because I am truly grateful for him,

"Come on." I say standing up holding out my hand to him.

"Where are we going?"

"I want to take my husband home and thank him over and over again for those perfect words he just said to me because I am so in love with him too that nothing can describe my love for him."
