"i knew you'd come here." freya sighed, standing a far ways away from the boy who sat on the ground with his legs crossed and his head held low. his back slowly rose up and down before he looked up to see freya with an emotionless expression.
"you miss him." she hummed knowingly, carefully making her way towards the younger boy. he stayed silent, opting for a weak head nod to speak for him. "i think he misses you too." she sat herself on the cool grass next to the boy, far enough so that it wasn't uncomfortable for him.
"how'd you know i'd be here?" seungmins voice cracked as he sniffed, playing with the bracelet around his wrist. freya sighed, pulling a hand through her dark hair and turning to the younger.
"you seem... tired." she trailed off, ignoring his question. "i am." he sighed, letting his head fall down again.
"minhyuk.... he's gone mental." seungmin groaned, rubbing his hands on his face. "he just wants the power. he's power crazy and i can't do it anymore." she sent him a sympathetic look, pursing her lips.
she could tell the sincere look on his face earlier was... well sincere. she knew he meant no harm when telling her not to trust just anyone. she figured he was genuinely trying his best to protect her from whatever was happening.
although freya couldn't exactly trust him for switching sides on her.... she knew he probably didn't have a choice.
"i had nothing to do with wonhos death. but minhyuk told me if i didn't join him that he'd tell everyone that i was the one that did it." seungmin confessed, tears rolling down his now rosy cheeks as he stared blankly at his older brothers grave.
freyas chest tightened, the sympathy she felt for him only growing. he was only 19, barley a legal adult. he didn't need the weight of the world on his shoulders.
"i want so badly to go back and fix everything." he began to cry into his hands, leaving freya to do nothing but reach over to the boy and pull him close, rubbing his back.
it was a small and subtle act, but for him it meant the world.
years. it had been years since he received any kind of affection or comfort. always told to suck it up and dust it off. he'd cry silently, he had no one to go to in the end.
but freya, freya was like the white light at the end of the tunnel. everyone who knew her knew she despised touching people and affection, that made this moment even more special.
"i can't say i'm not disappointed in you... but this isn't the end of the road for you min." she said softly, not caring that the boys tears were wetting the shoulder of her jacket. "what do you mean?" he inhaled, trying to calm his breathing.
freya chuckled, pulling a pack of tissues out of her back pocket and handing it to the older who stayed in her arms.
"just because he forced you, doesn't mean you can't explain yourself and stop whatever he's trying to do." she spoke, running her hand through his dark hair as she used to do when they were younger. seungmin abruptly sat up, looking the girl in the eyes with a questioning look.
"let's visit ma and pa."
i honestly forgot abt this
