"you know maybe we didn't think this all the way through correctly. it's like 12 am... we should g-" marks panicked sentence was cut off by the white door of the two story house swinging open, revealing the confused face of who freya guessed was marks older brother.

"oh hey mark." he yawned, waving at the younger. freya gave mark a look, watching as the boys eyes went wide and the tiredness from his face drained. "mark!" he exclaimed, pulling the younger into a hug.

marks older brother looked a lot like him, just a lot taller. he had long hair that was tied into a bun in the back and black circle glasses. he had on black basketball shorts and a grey hoodie, reminding freya of what mark usually wore.

"what are you doing here? you didn't tell anyone you were coming?" the older asked as he pulled away from the hug, letting go of marks arms and moving out of the way so that they could come in. he eyed freya who had been watching him with a blank gaze.

"well it was kind of last minute... are mom and dad awake?" mark sighed with a smile, making eye contact with the older boy. "obviously not it's the middle of the night. but i'm sure they won't mind me waking them up." the man shrugged, looking at freya once more.

"i'm bailey." he held out his hand out to the girl who just looked at it with a bored expression. "freya." she said, ultimately catching the older off with her deep voice. "okay.. then.. we'll i'm going to go get ma and pa then." bailey chuckled awkwardly, turning to walk down the hall.

"you could at least smile at him." mark laughed, shaking his head at the younger girl. "i'd rather not." she quipped, stuffing her hands into marks hoodie which she still had on. "you're such an enigma." he scoffed, leading the girl to the living room.

it was cozy, the whole house was warm and had a white and red theme, probably for the holidays. the living room was quite large, a high fireplace that looked like it was made in maybe the 80s and the living room connected to the kitchen. there was a sliding glass door that went out to the back yard which was nicely spaced.

it was nice, like any other house on the block. there were picture frames on shelf's and a very nice and large christmas tree right next to the tv that was mounted on the grey wall.

"oh my god you looked like one of the kids that would be obsessed with anime in grade school." freya gasped, looking at the pictures. "yah don't look at those!" mark exclaimed with an embarrassed expression, attempting to pull the girl away by her waist but she fought with a laugh.

"no look at you! you haven't changed at all." she laughed, looking at more pictures as mark tried to pull her away. "mark?" a female voice called out, causing the two young adults to stop what they were doing and look to where the voice was coming from.

"mom! ahaha um hi." marks eyes widened, waving shyly after looking at the position they were in. his arms were around freyas waist and her hands were placed on his, it looked a bit... well not something you'd normally see.

"there's my little man!" the loud voice of marks father cut through the silent air, causing a large smile on marks face. he separated from freya who cleared her throat, awkwardly looking around the room. "dad!" mark laughed, moving to hug his parents.

"we've gotta catch up."
