"how was marks parents?" jin asked, walking into fryeas room right after she had changed her clothes into a pair of black cargo pants and a black turtleneck with a purple zip up jacket. "fine." she said simply, sitting down with her boots in front of her.
"nothing happened? i heard you two stayed in the same bed." he teased, wiggling his eyebrows at his sister. the girl scoffed, shaking her head and pulling on her socks. "sorry to disappoint you, but you're not going to get a brother in law any time soon." she sighed.
"come on yoo, don't try to tell me there's nothing there, that you two don't have something going on." the older rolled his eyes, moving to sit next to freya. "you can't lie because i know you all too well."
freya huffed, pulling on one of the boots. "whatever your thinking, burn it in car oil. i don't... feel anything for mark." she mumbled, lacing up the shoe and pushing her hair behind her ear.
jin chuckled at that, knowing better than anyone that she was trying to convince herself and nobody else. she might've seemed like this enigma to everyone, but he could see right through her.
"plus we barely know each other."
"yeah because someone who barley knows you knows your boba order and also our biological mothers name." jin deadpanned, crossing his arms over his chest.freya froze from pulling her second boot on, eyes not leaving the spot on the wooden floor in front of her.
"it was impulsive okay. can we not talk about this right now?" she sighed, lacing up the boot and standing. jin frowned, again deciphering exactly what mood she was in. "yeah it's fine i was just saying." he said softly, standing from the bed as well.
the two made their way downstairs with a silence floating around them which wasn't very normal for them. usually there would be a quiet conversation but right now freya didn't really feel like talking.
"freya! are you doing anything today?" her best friend popped up in front of her the minute she made it down the last step, not even fazing her in the slightest as she grabbed a water from the table to the left. "well-"
"alright then, me keeho and freya. let's tour Vancouver again baby!" yeonjun exclaimed excitedly, high fiving keeho with a beaming smile. "actually... mark said he'd take me and jisung around." freya spoke, gulping down a little of the water.
yeonjuns face faltered, looking at mark who was awkwardly scratching his neck. "but we haven't hung out in so long. this could be like a trio come back." the older boy laughed breathily, shoulders falling ever so slightly.
"we can hang out other days jun, we have a whole month here." freya sighed, placing her water bottle on the table in front of her and pulling her phone from her back pocket. "arent we supposed to be best friends freya?" he asked bluntly, tone becoming anything but happy. this truly caught her attention, the girl turning to him with a look of confusion. "jun we are-"
"it doesn't seem like it anymore. we haven't had an actual conversation in weeks. do you know how worried i was when renjun picked up the phone and said you jumped off a roof and disappeared?" the older hissed, his eyes becoming red as hot tears filled them.
freya was beyond stuck, she didn't know how to react to the boys words.
"i'm sorry jun-"
"save it, me keeho and somi are gonna go tour vancouver. have fun with your new bestfriend mark lee." yeonjun sneered with a passive smile, a single tear running down his face before he stormed towards the door to the garage.freya stood but was stopped by keeho who just shook his head. "i'll talk to him. but for now he probably needs space."
yeah she fucked up.
how fucking dare freya i just remembered this happens
