Roman was so stupid. I thought closing the hospital door behind me.

His stupidity regarding this was almost to the point I'd call cute.

He was confident when it came this sexual activities that defined lust but a small act such as a kiss made him tentative and ambivalent- it was cute.

Ariel raised an eyebrow as I entered back into the room.

Somehow Roman had managed to convince Devil-o to go home and get some sleep and some food.

For that I was thankful.

God knows, the man looked like he needed some sleep.

He looked like a fucking zombie and I-

I detested zombies with a passion. Thank you, very much.

"So?" Ariel prompted.

"So?" I asked raising an eyebrow taking a seat on the metal chair placed beside the bed.

"You're flushed." She stated.

I ignored her statement with a roll of my eye, digging into the bag, bringing up a container of chick pea salad.

Ariel groaned.

"Is this a mission fatten Ariel up?" She asked as I handed her the small container and a spoon.

"It's mission bring Ariel back to health." I said. "Eat up."

"I just had breakfast-" She reasons.

"Two hours ago, hon." I reply.

"I don't want to stay here, no more." She cried stabbing a slice of cucumber on the container and putting it in her mouth.

As long as she eats.

"So what have you been up to?" She asks with a mouthful of salad.

Her body was clad in a hospital gown, falling on the sides of her shoulder.

It made her look more sick than she was.

I had half a mind to change her outfit into a sparkly stripper dress with her iconic heels while she got checked up by the doctors.

"Nothing much." I reply.

"You and Roman, I meant." She corrects herself.

"Fine." I chuckle. "I suppose."

"Fine is good." She nods putting spoonful of chickpea.

I nod.

For once I feel at loss of topic to talk to Ariel.

There hasn't been this sort of hesitation between us before.

And now, even though I don't hold back, we are at a loss for topic to converse.
