"And which part was her fucking fault?" Roman asks his hand slowly leaving my hips.
The warmth that was spread all over my body is now hugging me like a cold fucking blanket.
"I told you, I didn't mean any of it." I say. "I didn't mean to hurt her."
"You said it was her fault." Roman repeats. "Which part?"
"Roman, I-"
"Ariel suffers from inferiority complex after what happens with her." He asserts and then scoffs running both his hands through his perfectly styled hair.
I know what I did was perfectly stupid and outrageous on my part.
But he had to understand that I didn't mean to lash out.
"You keep saying you didn't mean to, you didn't mean, have you tried apologising? Did you realise that the woman who was going through enough has now another burden to carry?" He asks.
"How was she this morning?" He asks abruptly.
"Fine." I reply. "She was how she usually is."
Roman nodded and then sighed.
"I don't even have a viable reason for lashing out at her." I whisper watching the swirling pattern of vines on the bedsheets.
"Apologise to her please." Roman adds. "But I doubt everything would be okay between the two of you."
"Why?" I ask. "I mean she'd surely understand. She isn't like the ones who don't understand-"
"She'll constantly be on eggshells around you and me." He says. "She's sensitive. She'll try and keep interactions limited and keep her distance."
I nod my lip between my teeth.
Surely Bubbles will understand.
Bubbles isn't the person not to understand.
Bubbles is what anybody would want as a perfect friend.
