It was a normal day of work, well..somewhat a normal day. You wanted to find a job that'll give you a reason to do a case with your crush. The great detective, Ranpo Edogawa. Yes, you had a crush on the childish adult, his personality is what makes your heart go, you loved how he acted.
He was 26 and he still acted like an adorable whiny teen which you find cute. But at times..he can do things that makes your heart want to pound out of your chest, even seeing him can make your heart feel that way. "Hey Y/N, what are you doing?" You looked up from your computer and saw the brown haired detectives. You smiled and blushed at the sight of him. "Yes, I'm ok"
You male walked around and over to you, looking at you computer screen. You looked down at your computer keys and blushed. "You looking for things to investigate, bored or something?" You looked at the detective besides you and you saw that he was holding a lollipop in his hand. "Well, a little. i was hoping that me and you could do a case together, it's always fun working with you"
You smiled a bit, even though you knew you were lying. Don't get yourself wrong, it was fun working with him but you honestly just wanted to spend more time with the detective. "From the way your smiling there's got to be more to the story, isn't there Y/N?" The detective looked closely into your eyes, and that's when your cheeks started to heat up.
The boy then moved his face away after examining you, he then smiled. "Here, let's look for a case together. Shall we?" Ranpo picked you up and sat you on his lap as he sat down in your chair, he then grabbed the mouse and started looking through the cases. Your face couldn't stop turning red, you couldn't believe that you were sitting on your crushes lap. "mm, what about this one" You looked at the screen and nodded.
"sure, that sounds like an interesting case" Ranpo leaned in your ear and whispered. "you'll be undercover though, are you sure?" You shivered at the man's warm breath hitting against your cool skin, but you nodded anyway. "you don't have an ability though, so this'll be risky" Ranpo tapped his chin. "I don't want to put you in any type of danger but.."
Ranpo sat his hands on your shoulder. "I know you can do it, you did something like this before with Dazai didn't you?" You nodded. "Yes, it was pretty scary though.." Ranpo kissed your cheek lightly and rubbed your leg. "Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you"
You face beamed, but you hid your face in your hands in embarrassment. "ok, get ready. I'll meet you in town square in an hour" You nodded as you hopped off of Ranpo's lap and headed home, and then Ranpo headed to the president, to let him know that him and you will be on an investigation.

It has been an hour later, and you were already standing by the fountain in town square but Ranpo hasn't arrived yet. 'Were could he be?' Minutes have past, and he finally shows up. "sorry I'm late Y/N! i had a hard time finding town square" You laughed and shook your head. 'same old Ranpo'
