Today, work was stressful for you, you didn't know why you guess you just...weren't feeling it? You were also, somewhat excited I guess you could say. Dazai's suppose to take you out after work. A date, you were also nervous to since you've never been on a date. You also keep on thinking, this is Dazai were talking about, you shouldn't be nervous.
You known the man ever since he was in the mafia for crying out loud and your nervous!? The day seemed to be teasing your thoughts from the slow time. It's filling you with stress and anxiety. This morning, Kunikida noticed that you weren't feeling the best so he went over to check up on you, and you told him you were fine with a kind smile. In reality though..you weren't ok. Well, emotionally at least.
Soon, the time has finally came. It was 5:00 P.M. now, time to go home! You quickly packed up all your things and ran to the door, but instead of opening the door, you stopped in your tracks. "Y/N, are you sure your ok? You seem..excited" You looked up and saw the one and only Ranpo Edogawa. "Oh! Ranpo um..!" You then felt a touch on your shoulder, which made you jump in shock.
"She'll be coming with me!" You looked behind you and saw a smiling Dazai. "Oh, what's the occasion?" Ranpo opened his emerald green eyes so that he could see your blushing expression. "I'm taking Y/N here on a cute roof top date" You looked down and tapped your foot nervously. "Roof top dates. Sounds romantic Dazai" Ranpo closed his eyes ounce again and smiled. "Well, I give you guys the best of luck!"
Dazai nodded and grabbed your hand. "Well do, see you Ranpo" The great detective moved aside for you and Dazai, and then you both headed to the roof top. Ounce you got outside, you somehow found it pretty cold, maybe because the agency had the heat on all day? Could be...
"Come on Y/N" You and Dazai walked to the back of the building. Then Dazai walked over to the dumpster and grabbed a sturdy looking later. "Come on, let's go" Your eyes widened as you say Dazai lay the long ladder against the building and started climbing. You grabbed the wooden ladder but hesitated, your fear of heights getting the best of you. "Hey, Y/N? You ok?" The brown haired male looked down at you and saw your hesitant body.
"I-I have a fear of heights D-Dazai.." The man looked down at you and smiled. "It's ok, here. I'll let you climb in front of me so that if you fall I'll be able to catch you" Dazai climbed back down and grabbed your hand, and that's when you looked up at him. "Come on, I promise that nothing will happen to you" You smiled a bit and blushed, and then you had the courage to start climbing the ladder, of course you were still kinda shaky.
After you started your climb, Dazai came right after you as he promised. "Your doing great, were almost on the roof top" You looked down so that you could smile at Dazai but that's when you noticed how high up you were, you gasped and held the ladder close to your chest in fright. "Y/N! No, it's ok. You were doing so good!" Dazai climbed closer to you so that he could whisper in your ear. "Don't forget my words, I'll protect you~" The man then gave you a little kiss on the cheek, which made you blush of course.
"D-Dazai I can't..." The man then leaned his head on your shoulder. "You'll feel much better ounce you reach the roof top dear, it's ok. We're almost there" You took a shaky sigh and hesitated to start again, but you did. And Dazai still followed tight behind you. Soon, you reach the roof top and ounce you got there, you flopped down on the roof exhausted and happy. "I-I did it..." Dazai laughed and laid down besides you. "You sure did, and I'm very proud of you" You looked at Dazai and saw his signatures smile.
He then grabbed your hand and he pulled you up, along with himself. "Come on, sit along the edge with me" You quickly looked at Dazai and panicked. "I-is that d-dangerous!? What if w-we fall!" Dazai sat his hands on your shoulders. "Remember your ability, you can slow down the flow of other objects, so as long as I'm holding on to you, you can slow down our impact" You nodded and looked down.
"B-But I may be exhausted afterwords...considering all the energy I'm using and how much panic I'll be in..." You looked at Dazai and saw that his sift smile never faded. "It's ok, I believe in you" You sighed and smiled a bit. "O-Ok...fine.." Dazai's smile grew wider from your response. "Ok! Let's go!" The man grabbed your hand ounce again and dragged your to the edge of the building, when you reached there you two sat down.
"Ah, it's nice out today isn't it- Y/N?" When Dazai looked at you, he saw you shake horribly. "Hey Y/N? Are You cold?" You looked at Dazai and shook your head. N-No..." Your chattering teeth gave you away, so Dazai shook his head and took off his coat, and put it over you. His body heat from the coat felt really nice~ You soon started to settle, especially since Dazai laid on your side after he put the coat over you. "How are you so warm Dazai?" The man shrugged. "I don't know but I'm glad that it's warming you up"
You smiled and looked down, but that was a mistake. Your eyes widened and you started to panic. "D-Dazai!" You quickly hugged the man which made your body accidentally move and then you slipped of the building, you screamed. "Y/N!!" Dazai jumped after you in a hurry to reach you, your ability could slow down impact yes but..not her own. Someone needed to be with her so that she could use her ability... If not then....she'll be splattered like a pancake on the ground. "Dazai!!"
Soon, the man reaches her, and so he kisses your lips, calming you. Your heart throbbed. The man then pulled away quickly and leaned into your ear. "Listen to me, quickly. Use your ability and save yourself. I'm here now so you can do that. Save the both of us" You closed your eyes tightly and soon, your fall slowly, but it was still decently fast but not to the point it'll kill you.
"Good job Y/N, don't lose focus" Dazai moved a piece of hair from your face as he continued to whisper, and then...you finally reached the ground. Ounce you did, you passed out into Dazai's arms. The man held you close to his chest, sitting on his knees. "Good job Y/N, now I know that took a lot out of you so just relax ok, I'll bring you home tonight" Dazai stroke your head and smiled proudly. "What did I tell you, I'll be here for you. Now and always"
