The boy wake up in bed and looked around before rubbing his eyes. He then remembered an important thing."karl, it's my birthday..another year older.." The boy sighed and grabbed his raccoon pal and sat him on his lap so that he could pet him. "This is going to be another boring ye-" Poe stopped mid sentence as he looked over at a chair across his bedroom. He blinked for a couple of seconds before removing Karl and then he walked over to the chair silently. "What's this..?"
The male sat on his knees and felt the white cloth that was over some mysterious thing. he then grabbed it but hesitated. "Will it be worth revealing..?" Poe took a sharp breath and slowly removed the white cloth, then his eyes widened at the sight. It was a mystery novel he's always wanted too get. It was a newer one though so he probably got the first few copies of it. The male slowly grabbed it in shock and held it in his hands. "This can't be legit, the author hasn't even released this yet.."
Poe slowly opened the book and saw the author's print inside. His mouth dropped open as he put his hand over the mark to feel it. "No, it's legit. Who could of-" "Poe! Good Morning" The boy's eyes widened at the sound of your voice. "Y/N?" The door opes and the male covers his eyes too shield them. "Happy Birthday!" You run over to Poe and give him a light hug. "Y/N, did you?" You nodded and smiled. "Mhm, I got you the first copy of the book that you've always wanted. You keep talking about it and I wanted to make this year special for you!"
Poe smiled widely and started to tear up bit. "Thank you Y/N I- I don't know what to say.." Poe's face grew a bright pink as he felt you get off of him. "Come out too the kitchen, I made you some breakfast" Poe nodded and stood up. "Bring Karl too of course" You gave Poe a bright grin before walking over to is door and leaving. Poe smiled widely and went over to his bed. "Come on Karl, let's eat" Karl nodded and jumped on his partners shoulder.
After Poe managed to get everything ready, he walked over to his door and got one more glance of his room. He then nodded satisfied and walked out his room, closing the door behind him. He then immediately got the smell of lots of things, pancakes, eggs, bacon, etc. "Wow Y/N um.." Poe was honestly speechless when he walked into the kitchen. "It's your birthday after all, I wanted too make this special" Poe smiled and walked over to the table and sat down. "You made my plate too?" You looked back and nodded. "Ya, of course" You gave Poe a bright smiled and then you started to clean the kitchen ounce again.
"Y/N, you don't have to clean, i'll-" "No, it's ok" You looked back at Poe. Poe frowned and looked down. "I don't want you to work all day..even if it is my special day.." You sighed and sat everything down, then you walked over to the boy, giving him a light hug. "Poe, don't worry about me ok?" Poe sighed and nodded, and then he looked down. "Thank you Y/N" You nodded and put everything back. "Your welcome Poe" After you were done cleaning, you told Poe to get ready, and of course he was carious. But you didn't budge.
He kept on edging you too tell him but when he walked out his room with new pairs of cloths, you pushes the male into the bathroom. "Now don't rush Poe!" The boy took a deep breath and changed, brushed his hair, teeth, etc.

You got excited when Poe came out of the bathroom, he was in a beautiful suit that you bought him. "Awe, you look amazing Poe!" you started to jump in excitement, but Poe was a blushing mess. "You really bought me a suit?" You nodded. "Yes! Of course!" The male looked down and rubbed the back of his head. "where are you taking me Y/N?" You shook your head. "I'm not telling you were your going!" Poe looked down and sighed as you grabbed his hand and ran out his house, but before you two got far Karl jumped right onto Poe's shoulder.
Soon, you guys reach a building, making you stop in your tracks. It was a pretty decent sized building, but when Poe looked up he realized something. He was token to a movie theaters. "Why are we hear?" You looked over at Poe and grabbed his hand, heading inside the theaters. You walked over to the cashier and got your tickets to see (Mystery movie name), and when Poe heard the name of the movie, he almost pasted out.
You got them tickets to see the newest movie to his favorite mystery series ever! He wanted to hug you too death but his anxiety said otherwise. "Y-Y/N.." You looked over at Poe and smiled. "Ya?" Poe bit his lip and he slowly leaned into your body, giving you a light hug. "Thank you I.. I don't know what to say I-" You laughed and ruffled the man's hair. "Nothing Poe, it's your special da so I have too make it special"
Poe looked down as he heard your voice telling the workers your orders. You bought Poe his favorite snack, and a bowl of popcorn, along with two drinks. One for him, and the one for yourself. Ounce you got all of your things you guys went to the movies room and picked your seat, but Poe's anxiety risen when he saw a load of people who wanted to see the movie, it was a lot, but you quickly noticed so you looked back at Poe and sat your hand on his shoulder.
"Are you ok? You seem uneasy? I can get a refund and we can-" "NO! I'm fine!" Poe's yell made you jump in surprise, he's never done that before. "Poe you ok?" He nodded and walked over to the top row quickly in embarrassment, and you followed him in worry. When the movie started, you gave Poe his snacks and you sat the popcorn in between the both of you, and then you two stayed quiet.

It was now the middle of the movie and Poe decided that he wanted to show his gratitude towards you so he looked over at you and started to sweat. "U-Um..Y/N.." You looked over at your brown haired friend and nodded. "Yes Poe?" The male laughed nervously and rubbed the back of his neck. "Thank you for all of this.." you nodded and then you laid your hand on top of his, which made the male jump in shock. "I love you Poe.." That's when you technically whispered to yourself, ounce those words escaped from your mouth.
Poe's eyes widened at your confession. "I-I love you too.." Then Poe looks down, and his face became an unexplained shade of pink, good thing it was dark. He would die if you saw. He did want to kiss you but, looks like that won't happen.
