Saving Him/Fred Weasley

"You came into the dorm quite late last night" Matilda said raising her eyebrows at Sara, who just shrugged and took a bite of her toast. Matilda threw a piece of muffin at her friend "Talk" she demanded. Sara blinked a few times, Mati could be a very frightening person if she wanted to be, and right now, she was looking at Sara with a look that said "Don't you dare lie to me"

"I was with the Weasley twins" she told her, and Matilda's eyes widened.

"What?!" she shrieked "How in Merlin's name did that happen?"

"Well, do you remember that Fred came up to me a few weeks ago about pranking Umbridge?" Matilda nodded "Well I took him up on that offer" Sara smiled guiltily, and the blonde shook her head.

"Oh god you've been taken to the other side" Sara laughed.

"And they say I'm the overdramatic" Mati giggled.

"Alright, so explain something to me, you only pranked Umbridge with the twins?" Sara nodded "You didn't do anything else?" she asked suspiciously, and Sara swallowed.

"No, why?"

"Well, I just don't understand why Weasley keeps looking over here" Sara looked to the Gryffindor table, and just as her friend said, there it was Fred Weasley, next to his twin and Lee Jordan, looking at her. When Sara looked at him, their eyes met, and he smiled at her and waved. With a furious blush creeping up her neck, the girl managed a small smile and waved back. Of course, none of these interactions were going unnoticed by Matilda "Oh my god, what? When did you? How? You snogged Fred Weasley!" the blonde yelled pointing her index finger at the brown headed girl, making a few heads of the Hufflepuff table turn.

"Oh god lower your voice!" Sara whispered/yelled at her friend, and Matilda laughed "I think Snape at the professor's table couldn't quite hear you" she said sarcastically. 

"Sorry, sorry, it's just, I can't believe it! How did this happen? I'm not going to ask when because obviously, it was last night, but how? And was he good?" she asked wiggling her eyebrows, and Sara blushed again "Oh wow, you like him! You actually look like a tomato right now, I've never seen you like this over a boy!"

"Oh god, stop it! I won't tell you anything if you keep embarrassing me! And I don't need the whole school to know that I kissed" and then she whispered "Fred Weasley. So, stop it"

"Alright, alright, sorry" she smiled sheepishly "tell me everything" and she did. Sara told her friend about the prank George, Fred and she pulled on Umbridge, and how when they were running away from Filch, she ended up alone in the astronomy tower with Fred. Matilda almost fainted at the idea of her best friend kissing someone in the most romantic spot the school had, but later was a bit disappointed when she found out they hadn't snog there. Then Sara told her how he walked her to the common room, and how he, without her completely getting what was going on, had kissed her right there. It was little to say that Matilda was excited.

"When is the next full moon?" Matilda asked Sara while they were walking after lunch, down the corridor towards the greenhouse, for their herbology lesson. Sara looked at her friend weirdly.

"I have absolutely no idea, why?"

"Well because Hagrid said the other day, that in the next full moon, he was going to take us to see a Mooncalf, and I'm really excited, he said maybe we could catch them doing their dance"

"Aren't Mooncalfs like dangerous?" Matilda rolled her eyes.

"No Sara, really where do you get your information? Mooncalfs are really timid animals, and are awfully hard to see because they live in burrows and only come out when there is a full moon"
