"So, where is Klaus?" Hayley asked later that night as we all stared at each other in worry. We were at the top of some old church, where Freya liked to do her spells. She was trying to find Rebekah.
"When I told him about Rebekah, he said he'd pursue another lead," Freya explained.
Elijah cut the palm of his hand with a knife and let his blood drain into a stone bowl. "Forget Niklaus," he told them as he used his handkerchief to wipe away the blood and handed the bowl to Freya. "You will find her."
"Are you sure you got enough juju for a worldwide locator spell?" Marcel asked her in uncertainty.
Freya nodded, "She's my family. I won't lose her."
We all surrounded the small table covered in candles as Freya began her spell. I glanced up at Elijah, who was staring at the map with a concerned face. I knew how much he cared about Rebekah. I can't believe that Klaus wasn't here. I would bet all my life's savings that he was with Aurora right now. Elijah told me how those two basically became inseparable when they were together.
Freya poured the blood onto the map as it quickly spread out, almost covering the entire thing. "Damn it," she muttered in frustration.
"So much for witch GPS," Hayley sighed.
"I assumed that they'd cloak her. I didn't expect a spell this strong," Freya admitted.
"No doubt conjured by the very witch who lured Rebekah into this trap," Elijah guessed.
"So what do we do now?" I asked them in confusion. Freya was really the only one who could do anything since this was a witch matter, but I still felt useless standing around aimlessly while Rebekah was in trouble somewhere.
Freya looked at us, "You should all go. I have my work cut out for me."
"The Strix trust me. If they know where Rebekah is, I can find her," Marcel told us.
"We don't have time. You need to stop Davina from activating Lucien and Tristan's weapon," Elijah argued. Apparently, Lucien and Tristan were planning on making Davina activate the medallion that we found. I didn't know how they planned on forcing Davina to do anything, but I did know that Davina wasn't overly fond of Klaus and Elijah anymore after they tricked her into resurrecting Esther instead of Kol. She probably didn't need much convincing once they explained it was a weapon against them.
"We need to find Rebekah," Marcel shook his head.
"Marcel, I will not rest until my sister is found," Elijah assured him.
Marcel sighed, "All right. Fine. I'll handle Davina." He glanced at the rest of us before leaving.
"Well, in the meantime, please tell me that we're going to kill someone," Hayley said.
"Oh, we will kill many someones. But first, if we're to start a war, let us determine where our allegiances lie," Elijah assured her.
Hayley remained with Freya while Elijah and I went back to the compound to find Klaus. While we walked, I texted Cami and asked her if she was all right. I didn't expect her to respond so quickly since it was so late, but she replied and said that she and Kinney were fine and she was home.
"Niklaus! Niklaus!" Elijah shouted for his brother as we walked into the courtyard.
I heard movement upstairs as Klaus appeared on the balcony outside his room. "You shout loud enough to wake the dead," he told him sourly.
"You can't pick up your phone? Your sister is missing," Elijah snapped.
"Well, she's not exactly missing," a female voice chimed in as a girl with red hair moved to stand beside Klaus. This must've been Aurora. "And as long as everyone behaves themselves, you can trust me to tell you where she is." Her chilling eyes settled on us. "Hello, Elijah. And you must be Addie. Pleasure to meet you."
