"Where the bloody hell have you been?"

I rolled my eyes at Klaus's sassy voice as he waited for me outside the cemetery. I glanced down at the duffle bag in his hands, "Glad to see you came to your senses."

"I just want this day to end," Klaus murmured as he walked inside the gates. "Have you spoken to Camille recently? She's been dodging my calls."

"Probably because she's still pissed at you," I pointed out as we walked together.

Klaus came to a stop and stared at me. "You're not seriously taking her side, are you?"

"I'm not taking anyone's side," I stopped and shook my head. "But both of you are acting like children, don't you think?"

"I'm not acting anymore childish than she is. She stole the one thing that can kill my family. I have the right to be pissed," Klaus defended himself.

"But you stole her dark objects," I reminded him. "And yes, she probably shouldn't have taken the last piece of white oak, but she's not exactly in sound mind right now. If I was in the same situation after I turned, I probably would've done the same thing."

Klaus huffed and opened his mouth to reply, but he was cut off by a thud around the corner. I slowly turned around towards the noise as Klaus stepped forwards. "If someone's playing games, just know the contest ends when I kill you!" He threatened.

"Do you smell that?" I asked him as I caught a scent of something earthy.

"Smell what?" Klaus muttered as he got out his cell phone.

"It smells like sage," I realized. "Hopefully someone is just lighting an incense."

"It's a sound barrier spell," Klaus told me as he showed me his phone screen. "No service. And I bet no one else can hear us."

"So what do we do?" I crossed my arms, waiting for him to come up with a plan.

"Find Camille before whoever else is here with us does," he explained simply.

Together, we walked around for what seemed like hours. I had a feeling that the witch that was keeping us here made it so we kept getting lost. Night had fallen and it was eerily quiet as a thick patch of fog rolled in.

"We're getting nowhere," I finally told Klaus. I sighed and cupped my hands around my mouth, raising my voice. "Cami! Vincent!"

"She can't hear you," a female voice said from behind us. Klaus and I spun around to see a girl with dark hair dressed in a black cloak. "As a matter of fact, pretty soon now, she'll be dead. I hope you three parted on good terms."

Klaus lunged at the girl, but she disappeared. "Show yourself," he sneered into the air.

The witch reappeared a few feet away from me. Klaus slowly faced her, "You're one of the coven affiliated with the Strix."

"My sisters and I have come for the one thing that can kill you," she smiled.

"Well, perhaps I'll find your sisters and feed them what remains of your insides," Klaus stormed towards the witch.

"I have a better idea," she told him. Her and Klaus suddenly disappeared into thin air. I quickly spun around in a circle, looking for either of them. "Klaus!" I shouted frantically.

I noticed another girl in a black cloak standing by one of the tombs. I took a step forward before I noticed the salt barrier in front of her. She smiled, knowing I couldn't physically get to her. My eyes landed on a row of metal spikes beside me, and in a quick motion, I ripped one out of the ground and threw it at her.
