Third Person POV

"Elijah! Elijah wake up!"

Elijah's eyes quickly opened at the sound of Addie's voice as he stared at the blonde standing above him. He grimaced as his chest began to heal and looked at Papa's Tunde bloody blade in her hand. "What... How are you—" He stammered in confusion.

"Come on, we have to go," she hurriedly pulled him to his feet.

He took in all the destruction around him as he followed her down the stairs, "Niklaus—"

"I know, we have to find him," she answered as she led him deeper into the courtyard. His eyes fell on Gia's burned body and he winced at the memory of her taking her own life. He remembered his and Klaus' conversation before he stabbed him Papa's Tunde blade, and pulled Addie to a stop.

"Niklaus said he had a far worse fate planned for you and the other wolves. You have to go, now," Elijah told her in concern. He was incredibly happy that she had come back, but he knew that Niklaus' rampage would not stop here. He intended on hurting every single person that betrayed him, including Addie.

"It's too late for me. I'm here to help you," she replied and tried to get him to follow her again, pulling at his arm.

He shook his head in confusion, "I don't understand."

She smiled at him and walked over, unexpectedly pressing her lips against his. He stared at her in shock as she pulled back and cupped his face. "I love you, Elijah," she whispered, kissing him again, pressing her warm body against his.

"Elijah!"

Her sweet voice mixed with another until it molded until something else entirely. He opened his eyes to see that Addie had disappeared, replaced by Cami, who was keeping her distance.

"Elijah?" Cami repeated in a confused tone, seeing the empty look on his face.

He was hallucinating Adelaide. The effects of Papa's Tunde blade must've still lingered in him. She was never here at all. That meant Klaus had already gotten to her.

"You're hurt," he noticed the bloody mark on her neck and quickly bit into his wrist. He picked up a glass off the table and let his blood drain into it before passing it off to the blonde. He remembered what Cami told him as she pulled the blade out of him, 'he had to make it look convincing.'

"What do you mean Niklaus had a plan?" Elijah demanded, raising his voice in frustration at his brother. "We had a plan! A plan he mercilessly destroyed."

"Your plan wouldn't have worked, Elijah," Cami argued. "When Klaus got into my head, he said your plan would fail so he had to enact one of his own."

"And what might that be?" He wondered.

"He has to get to link to him," she answered.

"My brother wishes to bind himself to our enemy? She'll be virtually indestructible," Elijah couldn't help but laugh at the ridiculous idea.

"He said I had to convince you that everything he had to do, he had to do it alone. You had the wrong ingredients to kill Dahlia. And he has to buy time before he finds the right ones," Cami explained.

"How?" He asked with more interest.

"He's going to dagger himself," she answered.

"I have to find Adelaide," he declared suddenly as he pulled out his phone and dialed her number. It went straight to voicemail, and he called twice more, then calling Hayley, all to no avail. He had no idea where she was or if she was alright.
