I didn't sleep that night. I paced around the compound, constantly calling Klaus and asking for updates. I'm pretty sure at one point he blocked my number, so I just used Elijah's phone so he wouldn't know it was me. The last time I talked to him was at 4 am, when he threatened to stop the search altogether if I didn't stop pestering him. As much as he could be a pain in the ass, I knew he wouldn't stop searching until he found Cami. I promised I wouldn't keep calling him if he gave me updates every now and then so I wasn't constantly worrying.

Flash forward to now, where Elijah, Freya, and I were in the study, with an unconscious Tristan. At least we had some leverage. I wish it was Aurora in this chair, though. Tristan was just whiny and annoying. I absolutely loathed Aurora.

"The spell is complete," Freya informed us as she finished the salt circle around Tristan. "Tristan cannot cross the boundary of his own will but we can enter and leave as we please. I took the liberty of injecting him with hibiscus and mugwort to counteract any vervain in his system. All you have to do is compel him to give you the longitude of Rebekah's location."

"He says he's immune," Elijah sighed.

"Well, I'll find some other way to make him talk," Freya promised coldly and picked up a knife off the side table.

"Will you?" Elijah asked curiously. He walked over to his sister and held up his hand as he waited for Freya to hand over the knife.

"You're still upset we tortured Aurora without your permission," Freya assumed as she reluctantly gave him the knife she planned to use on Tristan.

"Oh, Freya, I'm obscenely fond of torture, but yes. When I'm entertaining, I like to be the one to choose precisely when and how we violate our guests," Elijah explained as he set down the knife and moved to stand back in front of Tristan.

"Fine. How should we proceed?" Freya asked him.

"Devastate his body, infiltrate the mind, and steal the information we need," Elijah answered simply as his eyes fluttered over to me. "Which is why Adelaide is here."

I nodded and walked over to where Tristan was sitting. I wasn't super fond of torture. I would rather just kill them and be over with it. But I guess Tristan did deserve it, especially since he was one of the people responsible for taking Rebekah.

I knelt down in front of Tristan and felt my urges take over as I quickly bit into his neck, beginning to feed. I had never actually fed off a vampire before, I had always just bit them so enough of my venom got injected into their system. Tristan's blood was more bitter than I was expecting, which was a little ironic considering who he was as a person. I continued to feed until I felt him slowly starting to fade away and stepped back.

"You don't get to die that easily," I told him as I bit him on the other side of his neck. This time, his eyes shot open and he shouted in pain, struggling against his restraints. I couldn't really control how much of my venom went into him, so I had to hope that I wasn't overdoing it and he didn't croak before we got the answers we were looking for.

Tristan cried out as I bit him again, his head rolling to the side as my venom started to affect him. I rolled my eyes and pulled away as I wiped the corners of my mouth.

"I would have thought the leader of the Strix would've been able to handle pain better," I confessed as Elijah moved to stand next to me.

Tristan chuckled weakly, "You mistake me, my lady. I cry out only in grief. I was so struck by your beauty when I saw you at the gala. And now, after this affront to my person, I'll be forced to pluck those lovely Sapphire eyes from your perfectly shaped skull. Just like I did with your ancestors."
