"Hey!" Mercedes smiled.

"Hey." Marcy continued stirring the pot.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing. I'm just tired. The listening party ran late."

"So did ours. I had to miss bedtime. Did I tell you that?"

"I think you did. I had to miss bedtime, too and the twins are mad at me because of it."

"I'm set to record you guys on Jimmy Fallon."

Marcy shuddered. "Don't do that."

"Come on! It's going to be amazing!"

"No, it won't. I'm just going to let the guys talk."

"Well I can't wait for James Corden! It's going to be so much fun!"

"How?"

"Because we'll be performing on TV and James Corden is nice."

"Jimmy Fallon is weird. He laughs at everything anyone says, even if it's not funny."

Mercedes laughed. "Are you at least glad that your album is finished and almost released?"

Marcy beamed. "Yes! And I love our second video!"

"I love it, too. Who came up with the idea to have it in a cafe at an "open mic night" setting?"

"Me. I wanted it to be an open love letter."

"To who?" Mercedes leaned on the counter.

"To Ellen, nosy."

Mercedes squealed. "That's so precious! Why you ain't do that for Mal?!"

"The rock song was for Mal! If you listen to it, it's a love song!"

"That dark piece was a love song? Yikes!"

Marcy smiled accidentally. "Shut up!"

Mercedes giggled. "Do they know?"

"Does who know what?"

"Do Mal and Ellen know you dedicated songs to them?"

"I didn't dedicate songs to them. I wrote songs about them."

Mercedes squealed louder.

"Ugh! You exhaust me."

"Where are the twins?"

"Mal's playing with them in the den. Where's Rae?"

"Noah's playing with her and Beth. They're good fathers, aren't they?"

"Yeah, I guess." Marcy smiled.

Mercedes stared at her.

"What?" She frowned.

"It's been months."

"What's been months?"

"Since the triplets' birth."

"Oh no!" Marcy wrinkled her nose.

"Why can't you keep them?! They have been here since September. It's April!"

"I don't want six dogs in this house!"

"Why not?! You've been getting along fine!"

"And what about when they get bigger?! They eat like food's goin out of style! They're going to go into heat! I don't wanna deal with that!"

"Get them fixed!"

"I don't want to take away their rights like that. It's bad enough I got Sully fixed."
