PROPHET: TAKING THE WORLD BY STORM
By: Jaime JacksonThe past two weeks have been good for the borough of Queens. While Spiderman and Prophet haven't been seen working together again, they have certainly had their hands full.
Prophet has proven to be a great protector and has stopped two muggings, a bus wreck, and two robberies. Spiderman has kept busy as well with multiple home robberies, a mugging, and also saved multiple people from a building that caught on fire.
If the two were ever partners, they certainly aren't anymore. In fact, Prophet and Spiderman have been working on opposite sides of the city. Whether this is due to a quarrel or a strategic way to keep Queens safe is unknown, at least for now.
Since the arrival of Prophet, crime rates have spiraled downwards. There is still not much known about her or who she is, and the only information we do know is through citizens who got her on camera or security and traffic cameras.
She is clearly just as protective as Spiderman about his identity, but it is hard to keep these things secret forever. Whether she is working with someone (or for them, rather) is still unknown, but we hope to learn more in the future.

"I haven't seen you in a while." I float behind Spiderman, who sits high above the ground on a fire escape. I land next to him, gently taking a seat.
"You said you didn't want to partners, so I thought I would give you some space."
"Just because I said I didn't want to be partners doesn't mean I don't want to be friends." I reply, looking down at the city below.
"Friends," He echoes, looking at me. "You want to be friends?"
"Hey, even superheroes need each other's backs." I nudge him lightly with my arm. "Besides, just because I work better alone at the actual fighting doesn't mean we can't learn from each other. Compare our fighting techniques, etcetera. Things like that."
"That would be nice," He decides after a moment of silence. The sun sets over the sleepy city, the skyline a bright blaze of pinks and oranges. "Do we need a place to meet up?"
"Oh, I don't think that's going to be much of a problem." I respond, standing up again. "Well, Sear, I'll see you around."
"Leaving already?"
"There's a lot more city than this, you know."
"I do. I'm just glad I'm not the only one protecting it anymore."

"As you all know, we have another essay coming up." My english teacher, Mr. Quincy, paces in front of the classroom, and I can almost smell his musty wool suit from my seat.
