DOUBLE TROUBLE: SPIDERMAN AND PROPHET SEEN PARTNERING AGAIN
by Jaime JacksonIn the few weeks that Prophet has been on the hero scene, she has made a valuable partner to Spiderman, our web slinging neighbor.
Though there was a period of time when many were doubtful of a partnership between the two, they have come back and better than ever to stop the robbery of a family owned jewelry store.
Though neither stuck around long enough to confirm their association, it is not suspicious that the two are in cahoots.

(PETER'S POV)
"In cahoots?" I exclaim, looking at the newspaper article. "In cahoots?" I repeat.
"In cahoots," Ned says sagely, sitting on the floor of my bedroom. I sigh, flopping onto the bed.
"What does that even mean? Doesn't matter." I shake my head. "We're not partners anyways. She turned me down." Ned presses random buttons on one of my game controllers.
"I'm surprised you even asked her." I roll my eyes at his comment.
"You're one to talk," I say bitterly. "How is it going with Betty, anyways?" Ned frowns.
"Well, you're certainly not in a good mood." He huffs, and I sigh.
"Sorry, Ned," I apologize. "I'm just super stressed out about this whole Prophet thing, especially now that I have to figure out her secret identity for Mr. Stark." I shake my head.
"It's all good, dude," Ned replies casually. "I get it. Well, as much as I can get it."
"I don't know what to do, Ned," I continue. "I mean, secret identities are secret for a reason. I don't want anyone trying to figure out who I am, and..." I trail off and Ned looks at me.
"And what?"
"And I feel a little guilty," I admit. "Even if we're not partners, we're friends." I swallow thickly, thinking back to our conversation the other day.
"Just because I said I didn't want to be partners doesn't mean I don't want to be friends."
"I wouldn't think too hard on it, Peter. Odds are Tony Stark will find out who she is before you do."
"Yeah. Yeah, you're right." I say, though I'm not so sure.
"How'd he find you?"
"No idea. He's not the most open person."
"Well maybe not to you," Ned retorts, and he throws me a controller, which I catch quickly and with ease. "Now, come on, I have to kick your ass in this game before dinner."
