My time, my wine
My spirit, my trust
Trying to find a part of me you didn't take up
Gave you too much but it wasn't enough
But I'll be alright, it's just a thousand cuts

"Y/N, you have to talk to him." Betty says. We sit outside on a park bench eating lunch.
"I know. I'm just angry."
"At what?"
"At him. At the world. At the Avengers." I sigh. "My life is so screwed right now, Betty."
"I know. And Peter being Spiderman can't help." I turn to her, my eyes wide.
"What did you just say?"
"Relax, Peter told me himself. When you were kidnapped." I sit back in my seat.
"He told you? Why?"
"To protect you." Betty throws out her sandwich wrapper. "I've got to go, and you have to go talk to Peter. I'll see you later."
I sit on the bench for another moment, contemplating our conversation. It's been a week since my argument with Peter, and it's been the longest seven days of my life.
Not talking to Peter is unbearable. I should just forgive him, but it seems ridiculous now, and I'm way too stubborn to say anything.
I throw out my garbage and stand up, making my way to the tower. Tony said that he had a mission for me, and despite the fact that I was kidnapped just a week ago, I am completely back to normal, at least work wise.
"Hi, Y/N." Pepper greets me at the elevator once I'm inside. "How are you doing?"
"I'm okay. Tony's sending me on a mission today." I reply.
"Have you forgiven him yet?" She asks quietly. I shake my head, feeling embarrassed. This is her husband we're talking about, after all.
"I'm sorry, Pepper." I say, and I genuinely mean it. "I'm working on it, I promise."
"You don't have to apologize to me, Y/N," Pepper says kindly, placing a hand on my shoulder. "Everyone takes their time towards forgiveness, and what Tony did wasn't right. But I want you to know... he does care about you. A lot. They all do." The elevator doors open and Pepper removes her hand.
"I'll see you later, Pepper." I say, and I step off the elevator. I make my way into Tony's lab knowing there's a good ninety percent chance that's where he is.
Just as I suspected, there he is, with... Peter. Oh no. Guess confrontation is coming earlier than I expected.
"Y/N, you're here." Tony says, standing up. Peter shuts something and hastily puts whatever they were working on away.
"Sorry it took so long," I apologize, needing something to say.
"No problem. But you need to leave soon." Tony says, and he pulls out a dark mesh garment bag. "Here."
