As i'm putting his bib on he starts to put in his head phones and of course leaving one out so he can still hear us."going down" I say and he looks like he braces is self for impact and I laugh a little bit. I pull my table closer to me and get the light and position it over his mouth and get to work. Once I finish his cleaning I say "half way done" he says finally that felt like a lifetime and chels and I laugh. "ok we're going to get you numbed up now Chelsea is going to give you some numbing gel so you won't feel the shots" I say. I go over and get the lidocaine and get the syringes ready and I do what Chelsea is giving him some numbing gel. "Wait woah woah woah woah woah what are y'all doing" Niall says. I can't break HIPPAA so I say "none of your business." Chad then says " I'm having cavities filled man calm down." "Well sorry i've never had that done before so this is all new to to me" said Niall. "wait bro you have never had cavities before" said chad. Chelsea intervenes and says "but what about". "CHELSEA SHUT IT" I say. Niall says "wait what are you not telling me Katy?" I say as I am walking back over to my seat "Nothing Niall, not anything you need to worry about." I say that trying to ease the tension in the room as I could cut it with a knife. " No what are you not telling me" Niall said. "I will talk to you later about it right now is not a good time." I say obviously getting slightly annoyed hoping Niall would just drop it. " no tell me now I want to know" Ni said. Me getting more annoyed and with my teeth clenched "Niall I said I would talk about it later" i said. " No tell me now" he says not catching on to me not wanting to tell him at the moment. " NIALL IM NOT GOING TO TELL YOU RIGHT NOW SO DROP THE SUBJECT" i said. As I was staying it you could hear a little hurt in my voice. As it sounds like i'm basically crying I run out saying " I need to step out real quick". I run out taking everything off and running into my office. I run in and char and noel are in there so they both come up to me and give me a hug. We are in a group hug with me still crying when I hear my office door open and hear a "GET OUT" coming from both of them. Char says "do you want to tell us what happened?" " it's a long story but I just need to let it out" i said. " It's ok you can tell us" "no I really can't it would violate HIPPAA" I said. "ahhh ok" they both say. I come out of their hug wiping my tears and sniffing trying to look normal again. "thank you girls I don't know what I would do without you" I say. I walk out of the office and walk back to the exam room.
