Part 7

Katy's POV

I walk back in and Niall is gone and Chelsea says " he's ready when you are I numbed him already". "Ah thank you chelsea. I go over to the sink and wash my hands and apologize to chad for what just happened. "It's alright sometimes Niall just doesn't know when to stop" he said. " haha ain't that the truth" I say while re applying my gloves and mask. "Ok shall we get started" I say. I look down and see a thumbs up from him so I get started. "ok just remember no eating or drinking til the numbing has worn off" I say as I put the chair up. "On your way out schedule the next appointment for 6 months" I say as I take his bib off. "Again I'm sorry for what happened earlier" I say. "Omg stop apologizing it's fine" he says. "Ok thank you chad" i say as I am hugging him. "See ya later" He says. "see ya" I say. Once he leaves I go back to my office to eat lunch while Chelsea cleans up the room. The rest of the day goes by slow as I'm not very excited to go home so I decided to work late and finish up some files I've been needing to get done for a while. It's about 6:30 pm and the office closes at 4. I hear and door open and figure it was char or noel and didn't worry to much about it. Then my office door opens and I hear a familiar voice. It was Niall. He was the whole reason I was working late so of course I didn't turn around. "I cooked some dinner figured you were hungry" he said. I didn't answer. "Katy you have to eat you can't just not eat so you can avoid me" he said. I didn't answer. he starts to talk towards me and heats up the food in my microwave. once it's ready he sits it next to me with a fork and a napkin. I reply "I'm not hungry". " Katy you have to be hungry you haven't eaten since lunch"he said. As i take the food and slide it away again stating "i'm not hungry." "ok fine then more for me" he says . he takes the food and walks toward the table. "Will you at least tell me what's wrong" he says. I turn around and give him the death eye "you know what's wrong" and turn back around and continue typing. " look I'm sorry how I acted today was not right and I should've just dropped the conversation I admit I was wrong"he said. " thank you for recognizing that but don't you think it's a little too late now niall after I embarrassed myself in front of chad and chelsea like that" i say as i start to put my laptop away and start packing up. "I know and I am sorry but look at it from my angle someone who is scared of the dentist is being told they have a cavity but their wife won't tell them"he said. " and I understand but also look at my angle I have a patient laying In the chair and coworker in the room, even if I am friends with the patient I still need to uphold a certain level of professionalism and that's very hard when you have your husband yelling at you over something you weren't going to worry him about" I say as I am basically packing up and leaving. " wait Katy, i know you are mad at me right now but we need to talk through this." he says. " we can later I'm not really in the mood right now" I say. "oh so you just want to ruin our relationship over some one little argument?" he said kinda raising his voice. "Who said I want to ruin our relationship over this all I want to do is go home and go to bed because I have a had a long day and have been working for about 12 hours now. I haven't had time to process my thoughts enough to have conversation about this yet because I don't want to say something I might regret. While you have had all day to think about this" i say storming out slamming the door. I got in my car and left and txted Niall to lock up for me. I got home got ready for bed and went to bed before Niall had gotten home.
