Gabriel asked me so many questions that I eventually fell asleep on the poor boy. He was super nice and seemed pretty excited to get to know me, so I patiently answered question after question with Dr. Green translating for me. When I had questioned if he was needed somewhere else in the hospital, Dr. Green had just told me that this was more important.

That didn't exactly seem right to me, but these two guys seemed so content just sitting around and asking me about my favorite color (pink) and food (anything with Alfredo sauce), that I decided not to try to question it again. When I eventually woke up again, it was to the sound of an alarm that made me once again jolt up into a sitting position while searching the room for danger. Unfortunately, that caused a huge  spike of pain to lance through my chest and I winced hard.

"Oh Sang, I'm so sorry! I forgot to lower the volume on my computer. Don't freak out. It is nothing serious to worry about," Corey told me in a worried tone before appearing at my bedside. I took a moment to calm my frayed nerves, which was especially difficult because I couldn't exactly take a deep breath while the respirator was breathing for me. Corey waited patiently for me to calm down and then sat on the edge of my bed.

"How are you feeling?" he asked with his characteristic concern.

Okay. My chest hurts some. I signed.

"I think I can help with that," Corey responded and reached to pick up this little remote connected to a cord and pressed the large button on the front. "They have hooked you up with a morphine drip. So anytime you are in pain, all you need to do is push this button and poof - all of your pain and troubles will simply disappear."

Man-oh-man did I believe him. Within moments my head started to feel fuzzy and my whole body started to tingle but in a good way. If I didn't have a tube down my throat, I am positive I would have been giggling. I am not sure if it was a moment later or an hour, but eventually I remembered to ask what I had been meaning to since I woke up.

What was that alarm?  I signed. Or at least that is what I think I signed. My hands weren't exactly cooperating right now.

"It would seem that your new acquaintances are curious about you. That was the alarm that I set up to inform me if anyone was looking into your background. I traced the hack back to Victor Morgan. He is on the Blackbourne team. But don't worry. I shut it down."

What! That was not cool. I got that they were Academy and running background checks was a part of what we do, but I was Academy too. They had no right to just barge into my past. No right at all. I go and save one of them and this invasion of privacy is how they repay me. I don't think so!

Go get them! I signed out to Corey after carefully sitting up to a more respectable position. It would be hard to dress down fully grown men while laying down.

"Umm what?" Corey asked, clearly confused by my sentiments.

I have to yell at them now. So go get this Victor Morgan and any of those other boys you can find so that I can do that. I am also going to need to be my voice cause I can't talk.

"Sang, I don't know if that is the best idea right now. You are supposed to be resting," Corey tried to tell me, but my brain addled brain was set on a course and nothing was going to divert me from it.

Go get them! I signed with over exaggerated motions to make sure he knew that I meant business. Corey gave me a dubious look before heading out of the room. A couple of long blinks later and he was back with three men that I had yet to meet. I decided to lean back more firmly against my pillows as my head struggled to focus on their outrageously handsome faces.
